The Riverview walk is picturesque with interesting bridges, artwork, and flowers interspersed throughout. There are many places you can sit and contemplate, if you have the time. The walk is a refreshing break after eating/shopping in the adjacent downtown area

Great walking path which is very scenic. Pace yourself the only disadvantage is you cannot ride your bike on this path. When the path stops at the light to continue on I think you can bike ride but through business and pool area bikes are not allowed. If anyone who has posted on this please verify if after a certain point you can bike.

Walking the riverfront, you feel removed from the hustle and bustle of the streets just feet away. The quarry swimming hole is just off of the riverwalk as well. Great shopping and restaurants nearby on the eastern side of the Riverwalk to. Simply put: You need to go and experience a summer evening in Naperville, on the Riverwalk.

Anyone who has been to Amsterdam, Venice, or even San Antonio knows full well what I mean. Chicago has sewers with more water flow than this shallow branch creek. No amount of red brick and poorly commissioned "art" can provide enough smoke and mirrors to transform this so called riverwalk into anything more than shallow, stinky, muddy water increasing fouled by duck and goose excrement by all of the misguided fools who insist on feeding the wildlife.

We walked the riverwalk for over an hour on this past Thursday afternoon. It was so beautiful! What a relaxing way to end our busy day! What a gem in the middle of the city! The pool area was unbelievable!

The river walk is a lovely way to spend an evening with someone special. All the charm of the historic downtown Naperville surrounds you. If there is anything wrong it's that it's not long enough.

The Naperville Riverwalk travels alongside the DuPage river. It is lined with parks, food, paddle boats and music. It is not uncommon to find independent musicians playing for those who stroll down the walk. Covered bridges and flowers abound. The path is popular with all ages and is pet friendly. Many couples and families use the riverwalk as a backdrop for photos for special events. The riverwalk does not allow bikes but there is a bike path just a mile away. Centennial Beach is located along the walk along with volleyball courts, hockey rink (in the winter) and parks. At the end of the riverwalk you will be happy to find high end restaurants, local pubs and a wide variety of ice-cream shops. Not to mention lot's of shopping. The riverwalk is very popular on weekends and holidays. During the July 4th celebrations the Rifest is a short walk away and the riverwalk is the home of the Labor Day celebration, known as the Last Fling.

We have been to the Naperville Riverwalk many, many times. It is ALWAYS fun and entertaining!
We were there to see the "Scar-illion" at the Carillon the weekend before Halloween. It was FANTASTIC! They had dancers perform from the "E'lan Dance Company" and they had a big inflated cat and Frankenstein on stage. The Carillon played in between sets, theme songs from "The Munsters" tv show, and many others. They had hundreds of glowsticks that they passed out to all of the kids and also they passed out trick or treat candy. It was a great evening on the lawn-- there must have been a hundred people there. The music and the dancing were great and when we finished we walked the Riverwalk and went to some of the shops. It is GREAT place for "date night" or a family walk and people watching! During the summer they had some specialists who came with their GIGANTIC telescopes and you could look through each one and they would tell you what it was focused on. VERY educational and ALL FOR FREE!!!!
