You can't miss this if you are visiting Naperville. This bell tower dominates the skyline visually, and provides lovely sounds at several times during the day. There is a park at the base of the tower that is perfect for a picnic and some relaxation time.

We had a wonderful meandering walk through the park in the heart of town. In the background, we had a beautiful accompaniment with the carillon. The park itself has a great pool for any type of swimmer -- different levels and the park meandered by a river... With the carillon chiming in the background. We also were there for July... More

I visited with my 9-year old and my mother. The Millennium Carillon is one of the stops on the Riverwalk. This was quite impressive . There was beautiful open grass area to enjoy which is perfect for a picnic.

I discovered this when walking the River Walk - at first I thought the mystical sounding chimes were electronically generated. Much to my surprise, I learned that this is a 150 foot tall musical instrument played by specially trained musicians! Tours in the tower are available.

Every summer I take the kids (this year we brought the puppy too) and head to Rotary Hill on Tuesday nights to listen to the Carillon concerts. They have inexpensive tours afterwards of the tower.

I had the unique opportunity of going to the very top of the Millennium Carillon. It is a beautiful instrument. While it looks a bit like a cement tour, the care that went into the instrument housed within is remarkable. This is a world class instrument and worthy of any city that values public art/music.

From my perspective, a little carillon music up close goes a long way...but for 15 minutes or so followed by a walk along the riverwalk, it is a delightful place, A good place to take visitors to the community too.

Very friendly staff. To access the tower and climb on the top you need to buy tickets in the near by located visitor center. Tickets are inexpensive and the view is worth the money and time. Me and my friend were biking in the area and we didn't know if we would be able to go and see all the... More

Look to the sky as you approach the downtown area of Naperville. If you are lucky enough to be present for concerts, grab a blanket or chair and enjoy on the hill . As you traverse the famed Riverwalk you can hear the music. Special occasion concerts as well as guest carilloneurs during different seasons of the year.
