It is a almost flat area for Jogging, Walking, or Biking. There are two major loops for that. One is about 5 mile, and the other 2.2 miles of packed coarse sand paths. Recently they upgraded the trail markings thourghout. Has a remote controlled model...More

Hop on your bike or take a walk on the trail that goes through the prairie. It's extra special at dawn to see the sunrise and to catch some of the varied wildlife making its way home before the day gets going for the humans...More

Big circle trail gets in about 8 miles, or we take the shorter route for about 3-4 miles. Nice wildlife, it's a shame so many people toss their garbage in the tall grass.

This place is a huge prairie--not a house in sight anywhere. The view of the sunsets are like you are in the middle of nature, and yet major 75th St is just up down the road, and you are littlerly 3-5 minutes from malls and...More

I used to live about 1/2 block from the Forest Preserve for over 25 years and loved it. I acutually lived there when it was a farm before the County Forest Preserve purchased it. It's a prairie forest preserve, so trees are minimal (although overtime,...More
