We were on a road trip in November and sought out a place to stretch our legs. The Cedarhurst Center for the Arts was closed, but there was access to the Goldman-Kuenz Sculpture Park. We were the only ones there other than a mower and someone painting the sculptures. The sculptures are spread out on the grounds. We walked to some and were glad there were signs identifying them. Some were in better shape than others. To us many were quirky, but perhaps that more reflects our lack of knowledge on the subject.
For outdoor art, we do highly recommend the outdoor sculptures at Wichita State University's Ulrich Museum of Art in Wichita, Kansas. They are real standouts and readily accessible around the campus.

We attended the watch party for the 2024 eclipse at Cedarhurst Center for the Arts, and it was an amazing experience! We drove from out of state and were so impressed by their beautiful grounds and helpful staff/volunteers. We were expecting big crowds, and even though we heard that they had sold 1500 tickets, since they have so much beautiful outdoor space, we had a very peaceful experience with very few people near us. Although we didn't get to spend much time enjoying their facility (since we were focused on the eclipse), their indoor space was also very nice, and amazingly enough, I didn't even have to wait to use their restrooms, which were clean and very nice. We enjoyed some of the outdoor sculptures and would love to visit again if we are ever back in the area. We are just so grateful to Cedarhurst for hosting such a great event!

We attended the production of Rocky Horror Picture Show that Cedarhurst put on. The volunteers did a great job, and the venue was comfortable. We had a great time. We are looking forward to attending other events at Cedarhurst.

We stopped at Cedarhurst on our way to Evansville, and were so glad that we did. The building itself is very striking, and the art inside is beautiful. We took a short walk outside also, where there is a nice little lake and many interesting sculptures. But the best part for us was the children's gallery, with plenty of interactive exhibits to keep little ones' interest. On the day that we visited we had the entire facility to ourselves which, although nice for us, led us to believe that there is potential for more people to discover this wonderful venue.

My husband and I stopped by CedarHurst very early on a Tuesday morning, before the actual center had opened. Considering we only wanted to see the sculpture garden, this was a perfect time to visit. We had originally thought that we would spend 10 or 15 minutes looking at the sculptures and move on to another area attraction. We spent about an hour and a half there! I was totally unaware that the garden area had a walking trail (That was full of deer) and also a small pond. Since we were the only visitors there at 7am, We had a romantic, peaceful walk and there were picture opportunities everywhere you looked. My only recommendation would be to take bug spray, as the mosquitoes were quite hungry. This Center needs more media attention, as it is a must-see when visiting Mt. Vernon!

Cedarhurst is an awesome artistic experience! We thoroughly enjoyed several galleries inside the mail building. We understand they frequently rotate installations, which makes us want to visit more often. Even more impressive, the outdoor sculptures are amazing. Go on a nice day and walk the beautiful property!

We stopped by CedarHurst to break up a trip, really, and it was a good move. While it is not large, the main building is modern and spacious. The permanent displays are free to see, while the current temporary display cost a mere $5.00 per. So it is not expensive. You could probably pleasantly spend a hour, maybe a little more here. There is also a sculpture tour of the grounds. "I don't know art, but I know what I like." If you are that way (like I am), I think you will still enjoy this, even if it is just to take a travel break. Friendly staff - I think I'll go back myself some time. You might wonder how a site like this is out here in prairie country. The staff can explain that. See, you already have something to look forward to.

was at the Cedarhurst Fair entrance , and turned away, as a view of tents showed less activity and more expensive............. 20 DOLLARS TO GET IN. WE ENDED UP AT THE CITY PARK EXHIBITS WHERE WE BOUGHT THINGS THAT WERE MORE AFFORDABLE, PEOPLE WERE FRIENDLY. Cedarhurst caters only TO THE elite and offers less for more.. very overrated.. Didn't see one single bus this year transporting people to the Fair, like in the past. People are getting tired of your HIGH prices AND QUALITY GOING DOWN. i think you had probably half of the vendors you usually have, and the same with attendees. Pricing yourself right out of business. several people I talked to at city park were in agreement., and having a good time buying ART there. this is the same day as Cedarhurst weekend. Oh yeah blame covid again, but you are doing this yourself. Called money hungry. Less quality and higher prices are slowly putting you out of business. Lots of people attended Kinmunfy days log cabin this weekend as it was more family friendly and didn't rip people off.
