Learn a piece of American history for free. Guided tour and a lot of self tour. Children’s area. Really cannot go wrong. Massive tractors you can get your picture on.

The display floor and the historical displays are worth the stop. The grounds and architecture are fascinating. Take a few minutes and visit it.

We went to headquarters before the John Deere Pavilion. I would recommend doing headquarters first. They have a showroom of a lot of the huge farm and industrial equipment. You are allowed to get on them all. Everyone enjoyed it. We spent about 2 hours...More

This is one of our first stops when we arrive into town from Tennessee. The tractors are great to climb inside and explore. The staff is friendly and the building is extremely clean. It's been neat to watch the museum change over the years.More

I agree that perhaps the Peace Corp, or a farmers co-operative would be the way to go. You would have to contact John Deere directly to see if they have some type of World Wide charity. Other than that, I wouldnt know.

No, reservations are not required. It is a self guiding tour, but the staff will be more than happy to share with you their detailed knowledge of the subjects you are interested in.
