If you have not used the Channel Cat, make a point to do so. You can hop off and on at various places or just stay on and ride the river. Great way for out=of=towners to have a chance to see the mighty Mississippi. Examples of stops are the Isle of Capri Casino in Bettendorf and TGI Fridays in Moline.

Taking a trip on a Channel Cat is always fun especially with kids. If you haven't done it and live here make sure to do so. And if you have visitors do it also.

First the customer service issues.......riders who have already paid are supposed to board first - their posted policy - at the East Village stop their staff member directed us to stand in two lines - one prepaid and one to purchase tickets. She let the new ticket purchasers go first......and after letting a number board - turned and said you... More

We were visiting a friend who lives locally but had never been on the Channel Cat before. We decided to go on it after talking to a local bartender who said this was a great, safe way to bar crawl at the stops. Unfortunately, we got on the water taxi too late in the day and only had time for... More

This water taxi has 4 stops in the Quad Cities. It is a fun ride to take the kids on for their first boat ride.

Locals and tourists tend to love the channel cat! It's a good way to get from one side of the river to the other while also experiencing the beauty of the river. My favorite thing to do is get on at the village of east Davenport and ride it to moline. Exit there and walk around the JD pavilion and... More

We took our daughter and her family on the Channel Cat Taxi, going from Davenport to Moline, visited the John Deere Pavilion and Lagomarcinos, and then back about 3 hours later. The cat was on time and the ride was wonderful! Such great views. I would suggest that you pre-buy your ticket online as it really saves time.

This is a great way to see the Mississippi River in the beautiful Quad Cities. It is very reasonably priced, frequent, fast, and safe. Gets you close to lots of neat places you can walk to easily. Using it to connect to the bike paths on each side of the river is wonderful, and the Channel Cat easily accommodates your... More

If you come to the Quad Cities and want to experience the great Mississippi River - I highly suggest you check out the Channel Cat - it takes you to four stops - two on the Iowa side and two on the Illinois side - convenient to restaurants and other activities. Highly recommend for everyone. Lots use it as a... More

I really hoped my trip would be a quick and affordable alternative for my daily bicycle commute. The $7 fee to ferry across the river seemed high, but I figured it was a tourist attraction and might include explanations of sites seen. I was disappointed that not a word was shared passing the largest Confederate Prison camp of The Civil... More
