Decided to treat myself and my husband to a rare cinema date, when I mean rare, I mean very rare, due to a very limited space of showing movies with Subtitles, due to myself and my husband being Profoundly Deaf. Decided to look on website, called Your Local Cinema, which shows all the cinemas in UK, to show all movies with subtitles and their time slots and locations... I found a slot for this one, so I went and book time off work, and luckily I could and I went on the actual Cineworld website to book tickets and even double checked to make sure it's Subtitled (which I have a proof of), before booking the tickets. Very excited lady here, I was looking forward to this very rare Cinema Date tonight, only for this to be ruined by not showing subtitles at all. Even paid for a very expensive snacks of popcorn, sweets and drinks (which they have been refunded for). Went to complain to a member of staff, apparently they couldn't stop the movie at all and change it to an actual movie with subtitles. But one member of staff has been good, and refunded the cost of the sweets, popcorn and drinks, along with refund for the tickets. Next time, please make sure to double check that it's Subtitled, before you sort out to put the movie on.

My daughter and her friends, 15-16 years old, they went to watch priscilla, they went on the train to go watch it. They went to get the tickets and the staff member then asked for their ID’s, which i found really rude, how do they expect 15-16’s to carry ID’s? They was being really rude to them, and the manager/staff member walked of when speaking to the girls calling them rude when the staff members was being horrible to them. Absolutely fuming. Very disappointed.

The ticket prices are DOUBLE competing cinemas (vue).

The cinema room was unbearably warm, diverting our attention from the movie onto enduring the discomfort.

We watched Oppenheimer, which has largely been applauded for its impressive audio, this was not the experience in Llandudno junction as the audio was so faulty that the spoken dialogue sounded like it was through a telephone line.

My 1/5 rating is for the comfort of the seats, which is better than vue in Rhyl but not enough to justify paying twice the price for a standard ticket.

I would like to express my gratitude to the staff as they acted quickly once there had been a complaint about the audio, unfortunately the audio wasn’t fixed, being another subtle reminder of the extortionate experience that I had paid for.

If you’ve read this far and believe you can tolerate an experience like this, it’s nice to then leave the building, able to stumble into a McDonald’s, KFC or Pizza Hut, which I am beginning to think is the main reason the cinema is still open…

An enjoyable time watching Peter Rabbit 2 was had by all. Food was as ever reasonably priced apart from the sweets of course! Covid measure are not really adhered to and staff do not really force the issue. All in all enjoyable as always.

Went to see the new Argylle film, it was so good. But aside from that, we were served by Rebecca ( i believe that’s what her name was) who was lovely, friendly and chatty with us. Definitely made a difference and was really nice.

Step 1
Check web for film listing and start time and choose
Step 2
Get ready
Step 3
Drive to cinema and have difficulty parking
Step 4
Join queue to pay for tickets
STOP
Showing time does not match and is almost two hours later.
Check poster for time. This doesn't match either
Check with staff who confirm late start and double check with the manager.
Two hours later than expected to arrive home and no means of warning them so cancel that then. Bah humbug!

Used to go to this cinema every week on Tuesday but have stopped since the chain has stopped the Bargain Tuesday promotion and this cinema became so dated. Since 2001 when this once nice cinema opened, all 3 restaurants have seen a refurb at least once but why not the Cinema. At the prices that this place charges for tickets and refreshments, it's not like it's out of the question. I think the seats are dirty and uncomfortable and between screens there is a nasty smell coming from the toilets. Haven't been for months. Prefer to drive 35 miles to the Broughton cineworld rather than pay £10 to sit uncomfortably for 2+ hours

I only visit to the cinema when subtitles are shown. On recent occasions after asking the box office if the film is subtitled to which they always say yes and paid for the tickets. When the film starts yet again with NO SUBTITLES! The manager always apologies and assures us that it will never happen again and guess what it does happen again and again.I would not recommend this cinema if you rely on subtitles.

Wow! State of the art multi-screen cinema...great selection of movies, including Art House stuff. A couple of criticisms tho...the cost of eats and sweets is astronomical! And the Gents toilets had vomit on the floor that had clearly been there long enough to dry!
