Shawnee Bluffs Canopy Tour is Southern Illinois' premiere outdoor experience. While traveling over 8 ziplines and 3 aerial bridges, on our breathtaking 83 acre course, you will experience the heart of the Shawnee National Forest. Suspended above the canopy floor, you will feel like you are soaring among the trees. Come to Shawnee Bluffs Canopy Tour to find your adventure. Strap in. Step off. Soar. Cost for the 2.5 to 3 hour guided tour is $90 per participant with a 10% discount for groups of 8 or more. Minimum age is 8. There is a weight limit of 50 - 270 lbs. This is a course of 8 zip line runs of various lengths plus a short practice run. You are always connected to a very strong cable at 2 points so everyone is very safe.
Rose and Will did a tremendous job. We were a small group of 3 retired folks. The staff made sure that we were safe at all times and did a great job briefing us on each run. They were knowledgeable about the local flora and were able to answer all of our questions. Great job guys.
After our tour, Marc the owner, gave us some great hiking and dining ideas. All and all a fantastic time.

So I'm married to a real talker and his best friend is too... so I was so happy we were in a group of just the 3 of us! Our guides Grant and Will were spot on! The instruction was clear and professional, they were professional and A LOT of fun, and they put up with all the talking and question asking from the hubs and friend! Will had a lot of great jokes and it was such a laid back experience. The lines were great and fast. The trees were starting to turn so it was beautiful. It is a long way out there so follow the GPS. You can't take anything in the trees with you so leave your stuff in the car or you can put it in the bucket at the front desk. They will take some photos of you along the way and share them via Google drive. They also provide water along the route. I HIGHLY recommend this tours if you are adventurous. We took the 3 hour tour and it only lasted about an hour and 40 mins because there were only 3 of us. Stretch and be ready for the hiking strips.

The most fun I’ve had for a while! The entire enterprise is very well done. The Shawnee forest makes incredibly beautiful backdrop for these awesome lines, especially in the autumn! Marc and David were entertaining and made the tour most enjoyable. I can’t wait to go back!

What's not to love about this Tour? From the time that I booked online to the finish line of the tour was a great experience. Marc and Candy the Owners of SBCT have created a business that brings out the adventurer inside. Ethan and Will our guides not only were entertaining but knowledgeable . The Zipline is well maintained , the training prior to zipping was superior. Highly recommended!

Kyle and Kara, our guides were super! Very knowledgeable, safety first but fun!
Numerous great ziplines above and thru the trees.
Some of them hit speeds of 40 plus.
A little bit of hiking and a couple of decent bridges to hike.
Great place to spend an afternoon!

We loved this. It can be hard to find things that two 40 something year old parents, two teenagers and an 8 year old to enjoy, but this was it! We did the chipmunk run with Any & Kyle as our guides. It was so amazing. Wear closed toe shoes and comfy clothes, there is a lot of safety harness gear. Employees took covid into account and skill levels of all participants. We were all smiling and laughing the whole time!

What a fantastic experience. from start to finish Shawnee Bluffs Canopy tours is exceptional. The course is fun, challenging, and incredibly beautiful. Staff is genuinely friendly and zip line safety protocol always followed. I will be back!

This was our first time doing a zip line. The people who work here are very helpful and patient. Our group was my husband and I and a woman with her 11 and 8-year old grandsons. Will and Ben did a great job of teaching us what to do and were very good with the kids. It's a beautiful area, and I recommend you try it.

I highly recommend giving this zip line experience a shot! Our guides Curtis and Nick where super knowledgeable about the overall zip line questions we had, safety, and most of all the nature teeming with life around us. They had positive things to say about other zip line experiences around the country which makes us want to try them all. The speed... it was so exhilarating! Bring your friends and family, you will not be disappointed.

Was a great experience, the place was beautiful, the ziplining was so much fun and The guides were amazing. They took pics of us on the platforms and on the bridge. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because they do not take pics of us actually ziplining. That would have completed the experience, being able to show us actually flying through the air on the line.
