Charlies is a place to go for beer and chips, and to encounter the colorful local residents. The place is pleasant, especially the garden which is kept up well. They allow smoking in the garden, but it's open enough that the smoke is not offensive.

This is a little bar, filled with friendly regulars and happy bar staff. The outdoor patio finds quite a few smokers present. It's a bar only, not a restaurant.
