I referred a friend from St. Louis to stay at Pere Marquette with his wife for Saint Valentines Day They couldn't sleep because of the mice running around the bedroom. Management credited back half the cost. Maybe buy some mouse traps. Or is that inhumane?

My husband and I were on vacation and visited this park. It was absolutely beautiful. We just stopped in to admire the beauty of this area and take some pictures. The area was very clean and well maintained. Definitely worth a visit!

Pulled in with our RV to only find that the electric outlets did not work. Went to the host who immediately stated that our two-year-old vehicle was 'defective' and needs to be looked at. I asked to try another site and 'strangely' that cured our...More

This lodge is stunning, especially in fall when all the maples in the park have full color. The food is good, the lodging is good, the atmosphere is great! We stayed overnight there in 2017 and can't wait to go back.

I would never camp here again. The mosquitoes were so bad that every camper was inside their rv's or tents because of the relentless attacks. We were at first wondering why none of the other campers were sitting around their campfires on a beautiful evening....More

Correct answers from others Do not believe there is a kitchenette in cabins. Grills outside. Nice restaurant in Lodge and lots of dining options just a couple miles away in Grafton.

Lambert car service recommendation (3 Replies)
I need to get to/from Pere Marquette state park to Lambert airport so looking at a car service since I don't want to rent a car. Any recommendations?

Taxi one way would run $75-90, Uber $175-200. I'd check the car rental rates. There is no parking fee at the Lodge. You could try calling the Lodge to see if they have any other recommendations.
Pere Marquette State Park to St. Charles MO (5 Replies)
I am wondering what is the best way to get from Pere Marquette State Park over to St. Charles, MO ? I see we could get there by taking two different river ferries. Has anyone gone that way and how long did it take. Otherwise by interstate it looks like a long ways around. Any other routes that might be better?

I'm afraid the highway is best. It's about an hour. You'd have to take two ferries for the shortest route, but it would definitely take much longer. Google from Brussels IL to St. Charles and you'll see - 17 miles in an hour and that doesn't include the first ferry across the Illinois river.
Pere Marquette State Park ?'s (3 Replies)
Does anyone know if a state park sticker is needed to get into this state park? And if so, where can this be purchased and the price of the sticker? We are thinking of going there on a Wednesday for a supper meal, and does anyone know the hours of the restaurant there? It will be our anniversary and thought the scenery would be beautiful this time of year. Is the restaurant considered good? Thanks for any information!
