In this modern and well equipped interpretation centre you can find the remains of one of the most important megalithic monuments in Galicia: the Dolmen of Dombate. Its importance is mostly due to its good state of preservation and remains of prehistoric art on its walls. The interpretation centre offers you good information on the monument, but there are also guided visits every 30 minutes. The guide was a bit like a tape recorder, but certainly knowledgeable.

This place is incredible, in the middle of nowhere a masterpiece Stone Age tomb with painted walls.
A well preserved place with free guided tours and free parking.
The only catch is that not exactly close to anywhere.
It is worth taking a 2 miles detour and also visiting the Celtic fort/village of Borneiro.

Very recommended. It is completely free and there's a guide every half an hour from 11 o'clock. The guide is very good and the history very detailed. I personally loved it.

Be sure to stop at this site. It's free entry and interesting building. It is quiet now in April, but who knows in the busy season, it may pick up more visitors.

Beautiful piece of old history, it would be nicer to be able to visit with children but the lady showing the site is NOT child friendly . Also there is a lot of potential to make a child friendly museum but hey this is Spain , let’s just build more houses and roads

We really enjoyed the visit here with our small group of pilgrims. We came because of the cultural importance and dramatic age of the site. In addition to the actual site, preserved in a nice display building, there was a small museum that had a replica of the dolmen you could walk into. It also had an English subtitles video on how the dolmen was made.

Interesting archaeological remains but they've put it in a modern building enclosure so doesn't give you any idea of the context. If you're in the area make a small detour but don't take a special trip. The hill fort close by, Castro de Borneiro, is worth spending more time over.

This dolmen is worth seeing because of the impressive structure that has been built to protect and provide it with atmosphere. They explained everything to us very kindly and in detail. Brilliant.

It's interesting why such a gem can be found in "Nirvana" of all places. Very good exhibition with even a German information sheet 👍, and: admission is free! If you're in the area and interested in history, you should come here!
