Disappointed. Not as described in brochure. Tiny Dirt road to get there- thought I was going up a farm lane. Walked a while on trail then turned around and headed to the car. Never saw river or much else interesting.

We walked this trail from both trailheads. It's about 5 miles one way. It's a very pleasant walk. Starting at the south trailhead is better (a bit more scenic). There is a marshy area you pass (just beyond the railroad tracks). It's a nice place to walk the dog, too.

If I could give this a zero I would. Trails were maintained and that’s about it. The provided map didn’t match the trails and there was numbering that wasn’t indicated on the provided map. We followed the trails- ended up on a driveway off of the map and gave up. There needs to be a better map and marking system (maybe have it match might be a good idea) - Indian burial mounds are supposed to have some kind of indicator- some have rocks. Having some sort of indication of where the heck you are besides arrows pointing at each other (Alice in Wonderland, anyone) Not sure what we saw w this - it must have been a mound but nothing on the map showed a #2 The park was very poorly planned out and it’s obvious that someone had a very good time larking about on their John Deere mower. Total disappointment.

Nice trail to spend 1-2 hours hiking with your family. Well kept and had some nice views of the Mississippi River and the scenery around it in spots. Getting there was a little unusual -- you end up going down this small one lane dirt road for a while -- there's a few minutes of wondering "wait a minute, am I on the right road" before you see the parking lot and park info signs. The one thing I'd mention is to expect more of a hike walking on mowed grass on prairie terrain -- I was picturing walking through rocks and sand along the river and this wasn't that. It was still great for what it was.

Beautiful views and nice short hikes. Not a lot of information on which way to go but only two real choices straight ahead for bluff and views back near the start of the lot for loop trail.
