Great considering it's a Midwest hill that's close to Chicago. Nice views overlooking the river. They do a good job keeping their runs open. It offers runs for beginners to some fairly fun black diamonds. Kids like it.

I have not stayed at the lodge, but the skiing is by far the best within three hours of Chicago! Absolutely gorgeous natural hills and better snow than I usually find in Wisconsin. Well worth the drive.

I didn't die. There were a lot of people so getting down the hills was sometimes tricky. The beginner hills are really easy except for old main which is pretty steep for a beginner hill. might go back here if i get someone else to go with me.

We stayed here with 17 people. Most were first time skiiers/snowboarders. I must mention we found it incredibly difficult to stay in touch with one another bc there is no cell service or wifi. Hotel has wifi, but it does not work. This showed to be most important when one of our kids broke their collarbone and I could not... More

Very pretty views during the fall time. The slide was kind of a bust for us. I thought at one time I was going to have to just get off and walk. The sky lift gives a great view though so it was worth the trip down.

The Segway Tour was the best choice we made on our girls trip (2 twenty-somethings). So much fun! The slide and zip line was kind of 'meh', for adrenaline junkies.

This was a great place for our family from Texas to spend some time snow skiing while on a trip visiting family during Christmas. Adults had skied before and felt comfortable getting right on the green and blue trails. Our 3 young kids (7,5,5) had never seen snow before this trip, much less skied. We put them in the Powder... C.M.R is a nice resort in a mountain/shopping town. My husband and I stayed one night after shopping and eating in downtown Galena. Our room was comfortable with a nice view of the Mississippi River. We also enjoyed the hot tub and dinner at their restaurant. They gave us muffins and oranges in the morning outside our door which was... More

I loved this place. Would have been 5 start review, if not for unreliable WiFi (especially AT&T) and so-so food. Lovely resort, located upon a scenic hilltop overlooking the river. We were there Sunday for four days and it was like we had the place to ourselves, which was cool. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially if you... More
