We drove out here on our recent trip to Galena, Illinois. When we arrived there is a sign on the parking lot stating "members and guests only". What? How ridiculous! I made a quick stop to look at the falls, which are beautiful. Don't plan...More

Wished we could have stayed longer and hiked but the weather was too cold. It was worth the drive and the water was beautiful. It is within the Galena Territories and the GPS was a must. Would love to go back on a sunny warm...More

When we went no one else was around. It was pretty easy to find and I did not see anything that would suggest it was "members only". Just off a public road. Not a diffcult walk at all.

Beautiful little waterfall - right off the road - easy stroll. Visited in the winter so lots of ice and snow. Made the view beautiful but the path was tough to walk on. Better summer activity.

This waterfall is hidden back within the Galena Territories, and you have to follow a lot of twists and turns to get there. It is gorgeous to behold! There's not much there - you park, look over to the side, oh hey there it is,...More

The sign says private, not public and you need a sticker which we didn't have went in anyhow and the other 3 cars had no stickers. It's a short walk to the falls. Beautiful area.

Thunderbay Falls is beautiful and very easy to get to. It's tucked away in Galena territory and right off the road.

If you are going to Galena it is just outside of the town. If you enjoy waterfalls it’s worth a short trip.

Must be on the golf course as that is the only thing we found and even locals did not know where this was! The book I had did not say "members only"!
