It's a pagoda with great historic values and the scenery is very nice. As per buddhists belief, this place is where Hpa-An town is started. You can see a dragon and A big frog statues. You can also enjoy nice scenery of the river. Nice place to visit not only for buddhist but also for tourists.

Inside the walls are beautifully painted murals depicting the Buddha's life. A great experience if you know enough about Buddhism to decipher the scenes.

Most of local people come and enjoy their time for sunset(especially young people). Historically, the status of Frog and NaGar(Fire-breathing snake) tell the story of the town,why it is called Hpa-An. Near the pagoda, can see the old jetty where used to be the jetty for ship to Mawlamyaing(Now people use the land transportation). There also can see some women washing their clothes at the bank of the Thanlwin river.

Sit on the Thanlwin river bank and can see river life from the pagoda. Close to local houses and can easily take walking tour through the local houses and strand road from the pagoda. Nothing special there.

This pagoda is again full of beautiful large and small Buddhas. There is a lot of space in this pagoda - indoor outdoor flow and again great views including a good sunset viewing area.

The Shwe Inh Myaw Pagoda is a lovely peaceful place to hang out & watch the sun set over the river in Hpa-An. Lots of friendly locals visit the Pagoda in the evening to pray & take photos. You can hear distant sounds of monks chanting from monastery across the river. The atmosphere is really lovely. I highly recommend a visit.

Peacefully of landscape to explorer and seeing of Myanmar citizens architecture in this pagoda and totally sure for fresh air to get.It is my hometown and this pagoda is one of the most attractive places on our city Hpa-an

This pagoda is one of the famous pagoda in Hpa-An, Kayin State, Myanmar. There is nothing special to do, but seeing sunset is the best. We were there in May, raining season in Myanmar. So there was perfect panoramic view of Than Lwin River with beautiful clouds and golden sunshine .

Legend has it that Hpa-An was created by a dragon and a giant frog. The impressive statues of these figures can be seen in the pagoda’s compound. This is the most famous in Hpa-An and a favorite spot for people to watch the sunset. Other than the sunset there is nothing much to do here.

The view on the Than Lwin River Bank is very pleasurable to see. Local people say cause this statues of frog and dragon, Hpa-Ann ( Frog was vomited from the mouth of Dragon) when they knew they were brothers. Very breezing and good to take rest. It is a must-visit and one of the most visited religious site.
