We were there with 3 children aged 6-12 and saw snow leopards and lots of other animals that seemed to live in good environments. There are picnic tables scattered all around the park, great walkways and the trees give shelter from the sun. The app gave good information about the animals and where to look for them in the cages. I can highly recommend visiting Nordens Ark. It works great also during Corona period since it’s easy to keep a good distance.

Dear Travelers. If you take a trip by car along the westcoast of Sweden make a stopover here. This "zoo" is much more then just that, i principle all their animals are endangered species. They work actively with conservation globally. There are in principle two sections Domestic and Wild, the total span is from Snowleopards to rare swedish chickenbreeds. There is a Hotel on the premises which gives you access to to the facilities "off hours" A good restautrant is by the hotel and in summer also local fastfood in the park. I would advice a visit a weekday during winter when the visitors are less. Stay overnight and enjoy! This is one of the most enjoyable ways for a family of any agemix to support animal and environment conservation

We had been given a gift card to visit the park. Unfortunately we could not make it before the expire date. Contacted Nordens Ark in good time to ask for an extension on the gift card, just to be told that they could not do this. When I asked why, the answer was that they had just decided that this would be their policy. Poor customers service.

Park area is quite big and clean, but nothing else. Ticket price also very expensive. In conclusion it is waste of time and money.

This is a lovely place to visit. The trail around the park can be varied according to how long you (or your children) are able to walk and there are regular stops to sit, use the bathroom and read about the parks work. It is clear that the animals are the main focus and their enclosures are vast. It is easy to walk past three empty spaces and feel short-changed but, the reality is, the animals have access to huge spaces and you just need to be a little patient (which is easy to do when you're in the middle of the Swedish forest). We were so lucky to see most animals, including a beautiful snow leopard and a tiger. We also really enjoyed the farm area. Our 3-year-old was in her element, running between animals and exploring the different areas. It is clear that this is a place where animals come first. Our family room in the hotel was just what we needed and the hotel staff were flexible and friendly when we requested to use the room for an extra few hours due to child sickness. We'll be back.
