Lovely budget family getaway, just outside the city of Nottingham

Been there on a Saturday with my 3 children, a teen son and 2 toddlers. Place is easy to find with a sat navi and it is about 30 minutes from Nottingham, so quite a short... read more

If you have Children you need to visit. I have been coming here with my daughter for years. She 10 yet still wants to come back. The staff are polite and very helpful. The rides are usually in good order and are rarely closed. They also have a falconry display at various intervals by Hawks of Steel. Probably the best... More

We had a day out here with 12 & 7 yr old children. It was our 3rd visit and we had a great day. There was a big new adventure playground which even my eldest liked. Now we were in Orlando in Feb and did all the parks so I was sceptical what they would think about Wheelgate but they... More

Took my 4 and 7 year old after 2 great visits to Twin Lakes last year. Whilst the layout is similar it is much smaller and whilst the play areas are great the rides are far too tame for any child above toddler age. My 7 year old was disappointed that there were no good rides, as was I. Food... More

50p feeding machines for animals, nearly get any feed too. Why not do bags of food for £1 or lower price to 20p? The toilets aren't exactly clean, and very tiny to actually get in to. The baby change was disgusting. The kids cheese sandwich meals was very poor! The best bit about them was bag of quavers and an... More

Been there on a Saturday with my 3 children, a teen son and 2 toddlers. Place is easy to find with a sat navi and it is about 30 minutes from Nottingham, so quite a short distance. We bought the online tickets ,the smallest toddler who is under 95 cm of height , got in for free. We all enjoyed... More

We visited here as a family of 4 which cost us £55 on entry. Fair enough as we thought this would work out right for a full day put with the family. WRONG! The park is relatively small with not much in the way of entertainment or rides unless you have toddlers. The castle play park is good for older... More

We visit Wheelgate regularly as we are annual pass holders. I have 3 children's 2-7 and we visited the water park on a sunny day. We aimed to spend a couple of hours there but it turned in to a whole day because the children were having lots of fun. The only issue we had with a water pistol breaking... More

This is our local 'theme park'. This takes me back to the time of the old 'pets corner' where the kids make their own fun and not rely on big thrill rides to have a good time. Local or not if this wasn't good we wouldn't have had a season ticket for the last 3 years. My 7 year old... More

I have been to Wheelgate a few times now and each time my son (7) enjoys it. It's a bit of a strange place with a mix of indoor soft play, animals, fair ground rides and water park. There are lots of things to keep young ones entertained and the entrance price is reasonable if you book online (£17 for... More
