Nice little park needs a luck of paint.

Visited here on Saturday with 2 young granddaughters. Had a lovely day and had a picnic. We purchased season tickets for twin lakes and believed as it us the sister park we would... read more

A disappointing visit to Wheelgate today with one of the large attractions closed as soon as you walked in to the park (the wooden fortress play area). There was a sign at the entrance notifying of closed rides but there was no mention of this large play area that was closed. The website was very good at deceiving you on... More

Visited here on Saturday with 2 young granddaughters. Had a lovely day and had a picnic. We purchased season tickets for twin lakes and believed as it us the sister park we would get entry in to wheelgate. We had to pay 30 pound on the day to upgrade the tickets. Not really an issue for us but if we... More

Looks tired and just thrown together. Not particularly pushchair friendly as paths are stony and rough. Was surprised that no ramp or lift in Alien zone to play area upstairs so had to carry pushchair up a lot of steps! Was not happy that the climbing wall was charged for and £4.20 for a pony ride was extortionate!! Kids had... More

The kids love Wheelgate and compared to other places near by it is great value for money. Some of the areas look past their best and there is a lot of random cheap tat doted around (but kids do not care!!). However you have to put it into context, under £12 for all day which includes a great outdoor water... More

Visited for the first time recently with our 2 young children, At first glance its not the most modern park or refurbed but past that it's great. Lots to do and see for the whole day. The indoor play area was fantastic for a midday break from the outdoors. We watched the falconry display in the afternoon which was great,... More

Went here with my daughter for her 2nd birthday with all her nursery friends. All the children had a great time with a variety of things to do. Park involves plenty of indoor and outdoor attractions suitable for all ages. Park has its own farmyard and reptile enclosure which the children loved. There is also a waterpark but that was... Fab place to take under 8's, but I think after that there's not really a lot there to keep an older child's interest. The water park area is great fun, but only on a warm day of course, but hard to explain to a little one sometimes that it's just too cold for them to use all through the year.... More
