Follow the small signs from the town of Padules, and turn right down towards the top car park. On a weekday, in September, the carpark was free and empty and approx a 10min walk down (and 20min walk back up) to the bottom carpark (closed during our visit).

There is a recreation area, for a picnic, and a charming (closed) cafe called El Molinillo de la Abuela plus a small fuente for drinking water.

Best to wear old trainers, or river shoes, to hike through the pristine mountain water as it forms into natural pools and flows through a 2km gorge and down waterfalls.

We visited this place with family, and have to agree that amid of an arid country and vast and beautiful scenery it was truly amazing to find a place like this which is so refreshing and yet so frantic from its looks.
