The Rivers Casino Desplains, contains one of the best steak houses in the midwest. My recent trip was pure gambling, yet walking past the Hugos Frog restaurant brought back great memories. The food there gave Vegas a run for their money.
O.K., now the gambling... They appear very safe their if you are still worried about Corona Virus. Everything appears clean and classy. The moment you walk in the place they screen and provide masks. They use whatever algorithms provided by the health proffesionals to distance and seperate games for protocal safety measures.
The slots there can not be beat. We are talkjng practically any slot you like. I have seen and played video poker, keno, and roulette as well on the screens.
Table games are all over in a circular set up. Blackjack, Three Card Poker, Texas holdem, Baccarat, and some other games I personally have never tried. FYI there is no Caribbean Stud (most casinos no longer carry that game).
Due to the casinos popularity, if you can not afford $25 min I recommend playing during the week
The weekends are poppin and the drinks there are top notch. Yes, I need to also add the new sportsbook has a Vegas set up seating area with a big screen ( very lovely).

We go to Rivers because of convenience and overall its ok. But they have the laziest unfriendly bartenders. God forbid you order a drink that has an ingredient more than a shot and water , you will get attitude. The female rolled her eyes and said something to the other worker because she actually had to make a drink, and it was nothing fancy.
Apparently they only want to serve beer and wine, well a monkey can pour that.
Maybe Rivers should buy a cocktail machine and get rid of these people that act like you are putting them out by ordering a drink at a Bar!

My brother and I said at a $25 blackjack table for four hours. No one approached us to ask if we had a players card, or we would like a players card. We had our bed up to 150 and $200 several times and found that not being approached was kind of curious.

In the last 2 months we've been there 4 times. Each time we spent together more than $1000. The Spanish 21 tables stakes away end up at $25. The pit person see you winning a little at the lower stakes then raise the table minimum. I never received good rewards and when we do have offers they are during the weekdays. Saturday nights are terrible with the loud music. Too loud and the selection isn't for the older crowd that is the main money source I'm sure.

Surprise today. Security scanners at the doors. Not only do they make you walk from black card parking in the garage on the third floor through their construction area on the 1st floor - when you get there, a line greets you because now they make you go through a scanner. The employee told me I had to go back all the way to black card parking because I had a small folding swiss army knife. Took my party back out.

Scanners have been regularly utilized at entertainment and sports venues for many years; and therefore, we have also made the decision to install these as a proactive measure for the added safety of our guests and Team Members. In regards to the parking garage, we do apologize for the inconvenience. We kept the temporary walkway from the 3rd floor open for as long as possible. However, in order for us to finalize the upper level expansion, we had to close access for anyone parking in the garage through the completion of the project, which should be done by early April. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through the final phases of construction, and we hope that you visit again soon.

i've been going on and off this casino for almost a decade now. i used to be a black card holder too.
poor customer service and no good experience to speak off. the cage line is almost always long line. you will bleed your nose to ask for food here. i don't even sign up for any mailers. entitled white male pit boss 11/20/21 PM said on face shouting brazenly "that he can't comp for food because i was comped the night before and that i made a comment before that i don't like it here and to bring my business elsewhere". i stood up and left. classic rivers casino experience. it's like to give food comp will come from his own pockets. i basically played atleast $6k+ on 1st night and within 24 hrs. came back to play some more with $3k+. how many people bring $10k in 24 hrs. to play? it's not like i play penny slots for a minute nor i am just hanging around and asking for superbowl tickets. i only play at high limit and starts $100 a hand. playing $10k in 24 hrs. garnered me $11. it's not even enough to buy yourself a meal. it's not you can buy yourself your own meal but it is the principle.for that amount of $ you play, food of all things shouldn't be an issue but in this casino is.
you are treated like a garbage. not even talked to me like female and most of all as a decent human being. VERY DEGRADING. i've wrote a review very similar to this experience few years back. instead of checking the issue out if it is true and use it to improve the quality of service or experience, they make a note that you commented or complained and you will be just remembered for that.

A+++ NO SMOKING! SAFE! Smells great! The three most wonderful ladies at the welcome counter! Professional, clear instructions, not rushing us off, perfect and nice! The face of the casino is this first place we stop and Bree, Susan, and Dorothy made our first impression here as one of our favorite casinos we have ever visited. My wife is a retired flight attendant and I’m retired Navy. Been to hundreds of casinos and I can say this one is Safe! No crack heads like MGM in Vegas lol… I witnessed the guy next to me win over $4000 on the slots! Took a photo to prove it. We got a free soda drink without an attitude like we normally always get from other casinos. Wish there was a free soda station, but it was not hard to find the waitress. I received a military card that gave us 25% off food so that was cool. New customers receive $10 to play with and a great band to hold your card to your pants. Finally have a place where every race can mingle without anything feeling strange. This place is perfect for adults to come and have fun!!! Without a worry… great tables live energy.

Went there with the virus new rules. Went to Flipts for a burger. Asked for water and was told I would have to buy one. Asked how much and was told $ 4.00. Whoa that seems high for water. They do not serve coffee either. After spending $21.00 for two burgers you would think you could get a glass of water. The soda was also $4.00, after playing the machines I thought that the machines were better in price than the water.We found one of the girls who walks around and got two waters for a $1.00. Guess next time I will bring my own drink. I guess that is the price of fancy .

Hats off to dealer Anthony B and pit boss Pete. I sat down at blackjack and had the most fun I’ve had in years. Anthony has a great spirit as a dealer and is always rooting for patrons to win. I wish more dealers were like him.

One bad apple can ruin a whole basket of apples. I had two terrible experiences at this casino. The most recent one happened in the afternoon of March 2, 2003. I played at a $15 baccarat table for about 2 hours and decided to take a lunch break. I asked the male supervisor (whose last name suggests he is.Chinese) for a comp meal. If he turned me down, I would not be unhappy as comps.are based on points. He said he would give a comp.meal to me, but he cautioned with a sullen face that I needed to have more action. "You played only two hands," he concluded. "I saw you play," he added. I was shocked. This was sheer fabrication because I had played at least 30 hands, if not 40 hands. Obviously he used his imagination to support his conclusion. During my gaming session, he was busy dealing with other 3 tables. How could he assume I did not play when he was not watching me? A customer at the table told him that he saw me playing many hands. After a brief argument, I asked the supervisor for his name. He showed me his name tag and challenged me, "Talk to my manager." Of course I did. After that, I found that he cancelled the meal comp out of retaliation.
Another unhappy experience happened last November. After playing Mississippi Stud for over an hour, I asked an Asian-looking supervisor for a comp meal. He told me to wait. He kept me waiting for about 25 minutes without giving me a reply. Yes or no - a reply was all I wanted. When he became idle and had nothing to do, he stood there and looked at me, without saying anything. He was extremely rude.
I have never met supervisors so rougish and rude in any other casinos.
Another unhappy experience happened last November. After playing Mississippi Stud for over an hour, I asked an Asian-looking supervisor for a comp meal. He told me to wait.
