WOW!!! Most incredible day on a lake fishing ever! Captain Rob was absolutely fantastic! He was so well prepared, knew where to go on the lake and we caught beautiful trout (German Browns and Rainbows). Great conversation, a fantastic boat, learned about the area, and he taught us about fishing at Lake Almanor. Personally loved the bathroom. Highly recommend this adventure and can't wait to go again! Thank you ever so much Captain Rob, I crossed off a bucket list item!!!

Outstanding fishing charter. I’ve been on many fishing charters in the world and Captain Rob brought on the best. Personable, knowledgeable and just a great person.
We caught a number of rainbows, keeping a couple for dinner, the rest catch and release. Captain made sure we were comfortable and continually on great fishing grounds. Teaching us lessons of Lake Almanor and general fishing techniques.
Beyond the actual fishing, Captain’s boat awesome. A toilet (yes!!), roomy interior, coffee, snacks and drinks onboard. All in all a five star experience. Thank you Captain Rob..

Doug Neal is a great fishing guide. He is very knowledgeable about Lake Almanor and how to fish it. Almanor is a big lake and can be tricky to fish if you don't know what you are doing. Doug knows all the tricks and is willing to share his knowledge. He worked very hard but is also fun to hang out with for 5 or 6 hours. I have fished with many guides/captains in different parts of the world and I can truly say that Doug is one of the best!

We fished for two days with Captain Rob. The boat, equipment, and the total experience was exceptional. We caught a large number of fish with several being the largest we have caught on the lake. I have been fishing Almanor since 1974. Fishing with Rob was a memorable experience!
