It's a route 66 roadside attraction, simple as that. People that don't get it wont enjoy route 66. A neat piece of collinsville history.

While on our way to Willoughby Heritage Farm we saw the Worlds largest Catsup Bottle. We’re glad we didn’t drive to Collinsville just to see it. It’s a water tower in the shape of a catsup bottle and that’s it. I guess if your in to nostalgia then this is for you. It’s not anything that floated our boat. Waste of time.

We were driving the old Route 66 and trying to see as many of the original sights as we could find. The Large Catsup Bottle was different and interesting to see.

It's a big water tower in the shape of a giant catsup bottle - what more do you need to know?! One of the many novelty roadside attractions along Route 66, this will likely be the first or last you see in Illinois, depending on your direction of travel, and will almost certainly be one of the most memorable novelties you'll see anywhere along the road. We missed this initially, having entered Missouri over the New Chain of Rocks Bridge, but seeing as we were back in Illinois the following day, we made the short side trip here to tick it off our list.
