Fascinating history to learn with our excellent guide Xavier
Oct 2020 • Couples
My partner and I were very lucky to have had such a detailed, thorough and exclusive tour of the chateau with our guide Xavier. He was kind enough to work later than usual in order to give us a tour in English. Our tour was filled with detail of the smallest kind enabling us to capture this castle in its prime, very interesting!

We went as a group of 8 and had an excellent guided tour - such a rich history to this beautiful castle which Virginie brought to life with enthusiasm and often very funny stories! We would highly recommend this castle and particularly the guided tour. Merci Beaucoup!

Fascinating insight into the Chateau's history.
Jul 2019
We visited the Chateau de Cenevieres on a very hot day in July. I was a little worried we may have arrived too late for a tour as one had just left as we arrived. But luckily we were given a lovely bouncy guide who was so brimming with enthusiasm for this place. She spoke really good English and brought the Chateau's history alive.
The thick walls of the castle acted like a natural air conditioning making our visit relatively comfortable. The castle itself is in a beautiful location overlooking the River Lot. It's beautifully maintained by the current owners who also live there.
Overall it was a memorable tour. Even though time was ticking towards closing time we never felt we were being rushed. I would highly recommend a visit here but just be warned the Chateau is popular for weddings when it closes to the public.

Fantastic tour!
Jul 2019 • Family
My husband and I visited with our two boys (6 and 7) and we were all captivated by the tour delivered by Virginie. She gave a wonderfully detailed and historically insightful tour of the chateau (In English). Our boys were mesmerised with all aspects of the tour - especially the dungeon! A must visit to learn about this slice of history in the area.

The castle is huge and beautiful. The owner and guide is helpful and friendly. Information on the castle is well delivered by the guide. She is a able to answer most of the questions that was asked. You will need a car to get here but it is worth the visit.

A great experience and a wonderful Chateau
Jun 2019 • Friends
Our guide was the proprietor, Patrick. He was very friendly and welcoming. His tour (in English) was exceptional with a tremendous knowledge of the local (and national) history associated with the Chateau and the region. All this for only 8 euros each!
You must go see it!!

Stunning history and panoramique
Jun 2019 • Couples
Many thanks to Virginie for fielding our enthusiasm and questions about this wonderful chateau standing proud on the cliffs above the Lot at Calvignac and then introducing us to Patrique, whose family have resided here for over two hundred years. It was so kind of him to show us around and we would urge others to include Chateau Cenevieres on their itinerary of the Lot Valley. Bill and Jacqueline
