The welcome is warm and personal. It is a beautiful setting. The tour guide spoke English and was attentive. It is possible to picnic outside the castle. Apart from some small bumps disabled access is possible to ground floor and court yard. There are toilets but no restaurant. There is disabled parking near entrance. The Chateau is still inhabited.

Reached castle by boat - there is good mooring place. We've met owner, who gave us a tour (in english which is quite rare case in area!). We got a lot of interesting facts from history of the castle and surrounding region. Thanks for a good time !

If you are in the vicinity of St Circ Lapopie, then I highly recommend you spend a few hours visiting this castle for a one-of-a-kind experience. The chateau itself is a former fortress that has a history older than 1000 years. It has been in the same family for the last 400 years, and we were lucky enough to be... More

The Chateau de Cenevieres was the favorite of the five chateaus we visited in the area. It is situated along the Lot River with a gorgeous view across the valley. The approach is delightful - farmed fields, very old villages, etc. The history of the Castle is fascinating. We had one guide (spoke French) who spent two plus hours leading... More

The innkeeper of our B&B recommended that we visit this nearby Chateau. It has been in the same family for several hundred years and is still occupied. We had a morning reservation and when we drove up we felt we were entering someone's home - not going on a tour! We were! And in fact we briefly were introduced to... More

We visited this fabulous place on a beautiful sunny afternoon and were given a hugely enjoyable tour of his family home by M.Patrick.We don't understand much french, but he filled us in in fluent english and was very knowledgeable and amusing. This place is a must for people visiting the Lot valley.

On a very rainy afternoon we visited the chateau and certainly were not disappointed. Our french isn't terribly good but our two young english-speaking hostesses (on their first tour) were very knowledgeable and gave a great insight into the history of the chateau. Great fun! Obviously a well loved family home as well as an historic building, the addition of... More

We ended up with a private tour from one of the personable owners who spoke English and told us of the history of the chateau and his family life there. Wonderful experience.

A beautiful chateau in a lovely location. We were given a wonderful tour by the owner Patrick, who was very welcoming, This charming host told the story of the chateau and provided detailed information about the many historic artifacts liberally embellished with amusing anecdotes. A thoroughly enjoyable visit.

This chateau was found by chance, and advice from the tourist office in Figeac. It has a very interesting history, and the owner, who gave the tour is a delight in himself!!
