We stayed in KTDC Mannarkkad, and drove to Kanjirappuzha Dam, which is around 10 km from Mannarkkad, and 17 km from Tamarind (KTDC). There is sufficient parking space. The Dam has a well-kept garden, with tall trees and lot of space for visitors to run around and even enjoy a boatride. The damview is spectacular, with the high Western Ghat... More

The blue Nilgiri mountains overlooking the crystal clear water across a 180 degree view is a breathtaking watch. Easily accessible via a short detour from the National Highway, this dam site is a nice place to spend an evening. There's little to do there, but the view of the mountains, and the breeze at the catchment area is a memorable... More

Half an hour drive from Palakkad Kozhikode road (Pottassery) you can reach this beautiful dam site. There is one moderately maintained park near to the dam. The jogging path through the banks of reservoir is a very good place to walk. Nice scenic places are there to take a memorable photos. The dam, reservoir and park are very good place... More

The ideal time to visit this place is on a weekday when there are no crowds. The place is serene, quiet and very, very beautiful. The garden is huge, well maintained and is a pretty place. It is a bit exhaustive to climb up the stairs and see the dam from the top, but the walk is worth it. The... More

Good hangout in Calicut palakkad stretch. Quiet isolated place with a few wildlife. Got a huge park out of proportion to the visitors turning out there. Cons: hot climate, not suitable for summer season, no good restaurants.

Not much crowded. But garden needs more care. You can find similar dams in Kerala. You have access to the dam. The catchment area looks beautiful. You won't get disappointed.
