This wonderfully modern designed Frank Gehry pedestrian bridge crosses over Colombus Drive & connects Millennium Park’s Lurie Garden (an urban botanical park) with Maggie Daley Park. It also serves as a viewing platform & additionally it is designed as a footbridge, to block out traffic noise from the eight-lane Columbus Drive, making events at Pritzker Pavilion quieter. It’s made of stainless steel, wood & reinforced concrete. Quite impressive!

As you walk across this stunning pedestrian bridge designed by the famous architect Frank Gehry you can't help but be impressed by the quality of the construction materials and the way they're used to create the gentle curves that define this work of art. Proof that something as practical as a footbridge can also be unique and beautiful. Every curve offers an interesting photo opportunity.

Millennium Park is an amazing addition to the traditional gardens of Grant Park. One of the best features is the pedestrian features that allow you to see the park without worrying about the Chicago traffic below. However, the bridge is not the simply connection. It is a piece of art and architecture gem itself and a beautiful feature for the park. We crossed it on our walk and I loved the design and bend of the bridge. It really is something you should see when you are in Chicago.

This is a great little walk with beautiful architecture to look at. It also had a roller rink right nearby. We had a lot of fun here, before taking the cab to the museum. No restrooms though, at lease none we could find.

In 2004, the artistic genius of the renowned architect Frank Gehry gave us another incredible creation, this time in the form of a very unique, winding pedestrian bridge, made of stainless steel, concrete and hardwood. Almost a thousand feet long, and running over the busiest Columbus Drive, the bridge smoothly connects Millennium Park and Maggie Dailey Park.
On a very warm September day, I was walking along the BP Bridge rather slowly, thinking about this unconventional strucrture. And I had a strong feeling that I am on a shining, 'winding road' of sorts, or maybe drifting along some slow waters of a river, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the beauty of the city.
Very unusual experience.
Stunning piece of architecture.
Just unforgettable.

Its a feature of Millennium Park that's worth finding and the walk across you get a good view from the apex, but the design and sheen of metal make it a special bridge, well worth the visit.

It was nice to walk here after we visited the cloud gate and I saw this bridge.
I loved how many people were walking through it and in the end, you find the ice rink.
It is a very modern bridge and impeccable.

I crossed from Maggie Daley Park to the Millennium Park through it accidentally, and it was very nice regarding its style and curvy design, and providing nice pictures opportunities.

This is a very nice stainless steel pedestrian bridge. We stumbled across it by chance trying to get from one park to the other (Millenium & Maggie Daley).
