We have been here before, this time was even more memorable in this theatre as we saw the premier of the English spoken version of a Bulgarian play entitled ‘Sunday Evening.’ It was a wonderful play and skillfully acted and directed. The location on Lincoln Avenue is pleasant. There is inexpensive parking either on the street or in a parking garage (ParkWhiz), and nice locations for dinner.

We have been here multiple times. The box office handles 3-4 separate theatres. Productions are usually very good. Seating in the theatres is roomy and basically no bad seating. There is a bar adjacent to the box office which is nice for waiting and enjoying a refreshment. Parking is street pay to park and can be challenging on a weekend. Dress is casual. No coat room available.

We saw Midnight Catechism and it was hilarious. In a 4 day stay in Chicago filled with great site seeing this may have been the highlight considering how much we laughed at this show. Small quaint theater but all positive. We linked this to a day on the north side of Chicago where we hit the Lincoln Zoo, Chicago 360 and then dined at Shanghai Terrace.

A group of us saw the one man play, Private Peaceful. It was absolutely amazing. Highly highly recommend it!! The theater was very comfortable & everyone was extremely pleasant! My first time there, but I’ll definitely look for another play to see there.

Husband and I saw "the roast" and the little theatre had 60 seats but I swear there were only 15 of us in there but still those actors put on the show for us. I was laughing, I was crying. I knew this would be one of those stories that toed the line and wow. We loved our experience here. Felt like a true Chicago theater experience for us out of towners. Will definitely check out what they are doing next time we're in town

My friends took me to see a one man show entitled "The Happiest Place on Earth". I loved the little theater (and the Vietnamese restaurant down the street). The show was well written and acted. The theater was small and intimate. The sound, lighting, etc. was perfect. What a treat!

Small, intimate, comfortable theatre. Checkin easy, masks required. Very nice staff. Bar up front and a small lounge seating area. You can take your drinks in the theatre. (They are renting the space, so mind your manners by being tidy.)

We saw Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man. The play was HYSTERICAL. I laughed so hard and often. The actor who played the gay man was so funny!! (I wish I knew his name, but his picture was not on the program with the other two actors. He was very Nathan Lane like.

The female actor, Shawn Nightingale, was very good. She made me think of some of the earlier female cast on Saturday Night Live.

The play was about one hour and 20 minutes, but felt longer in a very good way. The audience was laughing all the time. They do pull people from the audience, and there is audience engagement, so the improv by the Nathan Lane like character is exceptional. Not just anyone can pull that off.

I would definitely go see a play here again if we come back to Chicago.

When coming from Wisconsin to visit Chicago, the city parking is always terrible. I mean dreadful, but the one place I go back to time and time again is the greenhouse theater Center because it is so utterly fabulous. The space is well-maintained on obviously a theater style budget, but the bar is always open, the staff friendly and helpful; and the theater delightful amazing and thought-provoking. Cannot wait to go back.
