If you frequent the ChristKindlMarket in Daly Plaza, you are so close to this sculpture. Very large, colorful and somewhat protected in a hallway. I love this installation. Great description (in Braille too) at the base with a miniature drawing of the sculpture too.

This is another example of Chicago's commitment to great artists. The setting may not be the best for a piece this size and additions to the area make it very seem pushed aside. All the being said it is a great work of art that...More

Created by the iconic Spanish artist Joan Miro, the sculpture looks unique and memorable. Just like many other works by this artist. To me an obvious dissonance in whole arrangement is the setting of this relatively small sculpture in between two huge , closely positioned...More

What a treat to see a large surrealist sculpture by Miro. Not sure if the setting is the best, but it is certainly a beautiful piece. It is right across from the Picasso Statue.

If you like surrealism or Miro, you should see this. It is between 2 buildings across from Daly Plaza. & the Picasso. Unfortunately, now they have built a bus shelter in front of it. The statue is great, location is poor.

Sandwiched between buildings immediately across the street from the Picasso, this is another of the great Chicago outdoor sculptures. Check out a net map to find most of the others by Picasso, Chagall, Calder, etc. A worthwhile thing to spend an hr on when you're...More

If you know who Miro is, then you'd be shocked that his art is hidden away in a little niche behind a bus stop and two large buildings. It's just south of the enormous Picasso sculpture, and well worth searching for it. Within a three...More

On W Washington Street between N Clark Street and N Dearborn Street is a neat sculpture tucked back a little between the Cook County Office Building and the First United Methodist Church. It is across the street from the Picasso sculpture. A tall statue called...More

this was one of the items I was guided to on a self guided art tour that I did. This was directly south of the Picasso. Out of all of the stops this one was my least favourite. It's a large piece tucked into a...More
