I took two 18-year-olds and a 24-year-old on the tour as we heard it was a great way to learn about the historical waterfront buildings and types of architecture. The tour delivered that, and much more! Judith, our volunteer guide, knew her stuff and delivered...More

A chilly afternoon with good architectural commentary. Upstairs with good winter wear. Downstairs in the warm hubub that makes following the commentary difficult. So rug up and head up.

We expected it to be a tourist trap but a good excuse to see the city. Ended up being eye opening and fascinating. The guide, Adrian, was fantastic. She’s a volunteer but threw her heart into it. Well played

Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and
flavor. This central business district boasts
Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of

Hi. I do not think these sort of tours operate November- March, as the river and lake are usually frozen here during those months. However, there may be some indoor heated tours that run during those months. You might want... More
