We expected it to be a tourist trap but a good excuse to see the city. Ended up being eye opening and fascinating. The guide, Adrian, was fantastic. She’s a volunteer but threw her heart into it. Well played
Great way to learn about Chicago history through its architecture. Don't miss this overview - Guides are very knowledgeable. In some cities you walk the architecture, or take a city bus, in Chicago you ride the river to see how it evolved and continues to...More

This is something everyone who visits Chicago should do. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable not just about the building of Chicago but the history and significance of the river and the city itself. This was a very informative and thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Debated doing this river cruise or city tour bus for introduction to Chicago and so glad this was our choice. It began to rain while we were waiting to board the boat but we still chose to sit up top. You can purchase a rain...More
Excellent choice! The docent was very knowledgeable about the Chicago history and explained the different architectural styles of the building along the river. Cruising the river is a must. Well worth the time.
We thoroughly enjoyed our brisk morning cruise. This is so informative and well worth the cost. I wish we had gone earlier on during our visit so we could have had more time to visit some of the buildings we saw from the river.
Really enjoyed this cruise along the river looking at beautiful buildings from the past, present and future. Run by the Chicago Architecture Centre, our guide was knowledgeable and kept up a running commentary (history and architecture) for the full 2 hours we were on the...More
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.
