I am a lifelong Chicagoan. Our guide, Johnny Rocco rocks! From Johnny's opening all the way to the end, he gave a quintessential look at Chicago's Capone era in a very Chicagoesque personality. His funny and historical look at the genises of the mob only made Chicago's stars look brighter. Thank you Johnny.

Me and my wife took this tour and the 2 hours flew by. Johnny Rocco was knowledgeable about chicago history, the stories of the gangsters rise and fall from grace and inserted humor all the way through it. I would honestly take the tour again next time we're in Chi-Town. If you take the 1:00 PM tour it is not crowded on the coach at all, we probably had ~15 people. It was a lot of fun and made us forget about the magnificent mile and navy pier.

These guys work really hard to get you into the storyline. They are all dramatists and draw you in quick with their yarns...maybe some outright myths in there...but it's excellent and covers a lot of Chicagoland. We all learned a lot (and had the most fun ducking the gunfire.)

The good:
The bus was clean and very comfortable. The guide was funny, entertaining, and very knowledgeable! Saw some great sites and heard some interesting true stories.

The not so good:
It’s not a hop on/hop off tour. So you stay in the bus the whole time. You don’t get “up close and personal,” with any of the locations.

Overall:
We had a blast. Great tour for a cold winter day. I would recommend.

Tour company sent the following as meeting instructions: All tours depart from the 600 block of North Clark (Clark and Ohio). The Gangster Bus will pick up on the Clark street side in front of the 2-story McDonald's. Please note, we do not have an office or sign at that location.

Guests should arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled tour time and will be checked in by the tour guide. Tours will leave promptly at tour time.

We were at this location 15 minutes prior to departure. At exactly 7pm we noticed an Untouchables bus down another block at a stop light. I ran to catch it, but light turned green. We called the number in the tour company's email multiple times (even searched online for an alternate number) and only received an answering machine. After waiting another 15 minutes we finally took an Uber back to our hotel. $24 in wasted Uber rides and wasted 1 of the 3 nights in Chicago. When someone finally called back the next day they said the new meeting spot was around the corner due to construction. And I was supposed to know that, how? I was clearly standing where the email said the meeting spot was. And since I prepaid and you asked for my phone number and my hotel, why didn't someone call to ask if we were lost or still coming? I requested a discount on the next night's tour since I had spent $24 on Uber only to be left on a street. The lady on the phone was nice but said she couldn't get a hold of anyone to authorize that until Tuesday (this was Saturday). You run a tourism-oriented business but you don't have anyone that can make a customer service decision on a weekend? Okay. All in all, very disappointed in this company. I gave them the chance to make it right and they didn't. We talked to another woman that received the same email instructions and was also left on the street. Scary enough to be in a strange city left on the street with my grown kids, must have been really frightening for that lady.

We are sorry that you and your friend missed the 7 pm tour on Friday. Our confirmation email states to meet on the corner of Clark and Ohio. Ongoing construction has, at times, prohibited our bus, from pulling up to the Clark Street curb. In those cases we will then meet on Ohio street. We offered a Saturday tour but you declined. We then refunded you and your friend the full amount and sent an apology email. We apologize for the inconvenience and will be more clear in our confirmation email. We hope that you will come on a tour in the future. We promise a bang up time! Thank you for your feedback. Thank you, Untouchable Tours

Though the tour guide and driver were very nice guys, the tour is not worth your precious vacation time or money. The tour lacked any substance or note worthy points of interests. If you want to enjoy some stand-up comedy this tour is for you. If you want a tour that is relevant to what you are paying for, then you will be sorely disappointed like myself. I am baffled how this business has survived for 27 years. Happy vacationing.

And old school bus painted black. Horrible heat inside and no air. Guides more worried about tips than actually telling you any history. Very long, slow ride about nothing. Many historical errors and lack of focus. Read a book about the 20's in Chicago and walk on your own to sites in Lincoln Park. The worst tour I have ever taken.

Do not waste any time or money with the Untouchable Tour. I've never had a worse experience. I made a reservation - they took my credit card number but did not give me a confirmation number since that is not their practice. When I showed up at the correct time and place with my guests, they said they had no record of me, so I must not have made the reservation. They made countless excuses of how it was probably my fault. Because they have no process whatsoever, there was no confirmation I could use to prove my reservation. Their record keeping consisted of names scribbled on a piece of paper. Even with that rudimentary and obviously mistake ridden process, they blamed us. Rather than trusting the customer, they made us call the office who again said it must have been our fault. We had to pay cash to go on the tour. When I went home and saw that my credit card was charged a week ago I called again. Like before they were ridiculously rude. They told me they would look into it, and hung up on me. Not once did they take responsibility for their their error - even when they eventually found our record and saw it recorded for the wrong week. Their stance the entire time was that we must have done something wrong. Meanwhile, we were not the only ones with problems on the bus. Another couple had been written down for a different time slot. I don't mind mistakes - but I do mind rude employees and a general level of disdain for the customer.

The Tour Guide did a good job bringing the gangster era alive through his words and stories, but there is little to see. So you are taking a driving tour only to stop and be told 'the building is no longer there, but...' It's a very pricey tour to see next to nothing.

We were really looking forward to this tour as we wanted to learn about the history and the characters of this beautiful city. Unfortunately our guide didn’t provide any of this. Very little information given on the areas we we’re driving around and very little detail given on the characters who controlled those areas. This tour is more about mildly amusing anecdotes than the actual history of the area. Finally the bus suspension and air con need fixed!!!
