A little out of the way but a perfect place to learn about Polish history in Chicago. Founded in 1894 by the Resurrectionists, St. Hyacynth was designed by Worthmann and Steinbach, prominent Chicago church architects, in the heart of the "Polish Patch" and remains a...More

The front doors are beautiful along with the rest of the basilica. Located in a Polish influenced neighborhood.. They offer papers in both English and Polish. The only downside to me was there was no literature to explain the history or paintings in the church....More

well worth going to a different area to see this. Logan Square area on blue line. The interior is beautiful and stations of the cross are in Polish. A pleasant area in local neighborhood.

I felt like I was walking through a Catherdral in Poland or Italy while there. The Bronze doors are amazing and the painted ceilings are awesome. Mass is in Polish which adds too the experience.

This is one of three Basilicas in the Chicago area. It is a few blocks from the Belmont L stop and a lovely walk through some ethnic neighborhoods. I think the side doors to the Basilica are always open. Inside it is beautiful.
