Cloudy day? But still want to see a great view? Go up to lounge.
We didn’t want to spend the money on entrance and not be able to see anything so we opted to going to lounge.
Drinks are pricey, but the way I see...More
You have a few choices of the 360Chicago building. Either spend over $20 and go the observation deck, or go to the lounge or room and spend about the same on a drink and get the view. I ordered the cheesecake and a diet coke....More
If I was just reviewing the food/drinks and the incredible view of Chicago, I would give this full marks. But the staff were colder than the weather outside, and while I don't necessarily expect VIP treatment, I do expect some level of civility. My server...More
Best way to experience a view of Chicago. Was quite busy when we went on a Sunday afternoon so no window seat but we were able to walk about to get some great views. No entry charge, just get the lift to the 96th floor.
This is the lounge a floor above the Signature restaurant, and it is a great experience. We went to have a cocktail prior to our dinner reservation at a different location, and this was a nice treat with an incredible view, great drinks, and good...More
We made an impromptu visit to the Signature Lounge and quickly were seated at a table for two on the northeast corner of the lounge. We enjoyed some champagne and a flatbread appetizer and found the service, prices, and ambiance to be great.
We visited the Signature Lounge near the top of the old Hancock Tower on N. Michigan Avenue in Chicago. It is one floor above the Signature Restaurant and a couple floors below the observation deck, but there is no fee to visit the lounge.
Good views, mediocre food, POOREST customer service. It appeared that customers are providing a service by eating there. The management is very arrogant and unprofessional. Customer service is not a priority in this place. We visited to celebrate for our 10th anniversary. We just put...More
Take a minute to look around every once in awhile. When you do, look around from the 96th floor of the John Hancock building. Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago never looked better! It was amazing to sit back, relax, have a drink and soak it...More
A group of six women visited the area last weekend (stayed in Woodstock) and spent one day in Chicago. This was Friday, October 2. The rain and drizzle spoiled some of our plans (like the river cruise and time in the parks) and made our walking tour a bit less enjoyable . . . but that couldn't be helped, so we made the best of it! Traffic on the way into the city was very manageable . . . surprisingly so. We arrived at The Phoenix in Chinatown about 10:30 a.m. and were able to park on...More

I can't blame you for not being in a hurry to get back to Chicago. I don't know why you would go to Dim Sum at Phoenix when there are so many contemporary delicious breakfast places. And I would never recommend Pizano's for the deep dish Pizza experience, and waiting an hour for pizza anywhere isn't smart as there are delicious deep dish pizza places all over, walking around in the rain would certainly not be the way to go. And while the Signature Lounge does have a higher price point for...More
The Signature Lounge dress attire (6 Replies)
Is there any kind of dress attire for the Signature lounge during late afternoon/early evening? I'm going to be in Chicago with my g/f at the end of March and while we are walking around the town, we are thinking a drink at the Signature lounge would me a nice thing to do. We are going to be in jeans and comfortable shoes, t-shirts or such. Thank you

I've been in there on a Saturday afternoon in jeans and regular shoes. Everyone else was dressed the same. I imagine they get a ton of tourists all day long, so the attire is probably a lot less formal than you might imagine. There were plenty of kids in there, people with shopping bags, etc.
Signature Lounge and/or Sunset Cruise (2 Replies)
My husband and I have been to Chicago for things like shopping and the attractions (aquarium, museum etc) but have never taken in on the beauty of the city. We are going on a sunset boat ride on Saturday night (our only night in the city). Would you suggest also visiting the Signature Lounge too? Also, we would like to visit a neighborhood during the daytime. One that would have a nice place to eat lunch. Any suggestions?? Thank you.....can't wait. We will brea in the city on Aug. 20th. I...More

You can visit the Signature Lounge if you want to. You'll be in the general neighborhood for doing both the Hancock and the Cruise. If the night is clear go up for a drink after your cruise. If the tower has it's head in the clouds then don't bother 'cause there won't be a view and there are better bars at street level. Play it by ear. What have you got to lose? Why not take the red or brown line to Fullerton Station and walk around Lincoln Ave, or take the Brown line to Southport, or the...More
