Even if you just pop up for a drink and take in the amazing views of the city, it's well worth it for a $15 cocktail. Just make sure they are not cleaning the carpets in the room with the best views. I have been told that the ladies restrooms has the best view though :)

Great for drinks and view. A must see! It was a great experience to see the city on all views. If it's your first time to the city, I recommend coming here first to see the layout. Going to the observatory is $20 coming here and get a free drink with a view.

If you are going for the lounge/restaurant, you don't need to pay to go up the tower's observation deck. The lounge/restaurant has a beautiful view over Chicago. If you can, go for sunset, but go early as it will get crowded quicky by everyone else going for sunset too. Drinks and food are really expensive, but it's definitely a fun... More

After checking out the observation deck we decided to stop into the Signature Lounge for drinks before continuing sightseeing around the city. The view is beautiful.

We were originally going to have dinner at the Signature Room, but when I asked a local about the food, he casually responded, "You're paying for the view". Which led us to just go for cocktails at the Signature Lounge then off to dinner elsewhere. We arrived after sunset to the lounge with floor to ceiling windows and drank in... More

Instead of going to the observation deck, we decided to have some cocktails at this Lounge and believe me WOW WOW WOW What an amazing experience, the views are expectacular. We had to wait to get a table by the window, but it was worth the wait, and don't hesitate to go in to the bathroom, the views from there... More

I will be brief on the view... Yes, it is a great place to see Chicago from up high. Now... The place itself is VERY tired and old, like an old cheap hotel conference room. The drinks are terrible and the staff is not very enthusiastic. Take pictures, but try to make sure that none of the MANY spiders on... More

This is an absolute must for all visitors to Chicago. The views are breathtaking!!!! We decided to take in the views along with cocktails on the 96th floor - one higher than the observation deck that you pay an admittance charge for. Service, cocktails and ambience are great. I thought the views from the Ladies In The Shard in London... More

Instead of paying for the tour to the observation deck, you can visit the Lounge on the 96th floor and order a drink. Same views and a lot cheaper! My friends had visited during the daytime and the views were amazing. We went in the evening and i don't think it was worth it. We arrived around 7:30 p.m. on... More

Wonderful view and the manager was very helpful getting us a great table by the window. however, we had a terrible waitress who never came back to check on us. Wasn't very busy but she completely ignored us. Dropped our drinks, dropped our food and never came back until I got the manager to get us the check. Really her... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
