The store has been on 700 N. Michigan Ave for a long time, it's right in the center of the Mag Mile. Saks Fifth Ave offers its customers a fine shopping supported by excellent customer service. The layout of items is very advantageous for shoppers to look at (bags dept, for instance), staff is amiable, helpful and friendly. Nice store!

I had a great time in the shoe department. The elevator goes directly to the men's floor, so guys can escape the women's floors. I love the ghost Gucci selection. I've purchased two pairs and received points on my Saks credit card. The staff is down to earth and truly wants to satisfy customers. Saks always has the best merchandise.... More

Since I was staying across the street, Saks was my first stop after checking in—first for lunch, then shopping. I was incentivized to buy something due to a reward email I had received from Saks to commemorate my 25 years as a cardholder. As long as I spent at least $1, I would get 2500 bonus points (100 points for... More

Just purchased a pair of Gucci shoes for myself. I've purchased a couple of shoes from here and have never had problems with any of them, great service friendly staff.

this is a small store and moderately good… no children's department and pretty slim pickings for most things. Sales help was super.

My husband was disappointed that he didn't get brown leather gloves for Xmas, so I got great ones with a buckle. And they were half off!

Had never bought much from Saks before and hadn't realised the diversity of brands. Had walked the length of Fifth Avenue in New York the previous few days but with no success. Was absolutely stunned to see the variety of my favourite brands under one roof - great service, top quality but the only difficulty was my luggage allowance returning... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
