I took this tour at 3:30 pm in late December. You can stay inside the boat for warmth, but you won't see much. The views are on the top deck! It was cold but worth it to cruise along the river and see the buildings....More

Even in 36 degree weather it was a great experience. We appreciated having a warm 1st floor to escape to when outside was too too cold. The guide was informative and engaging — call out to Dave ( I think that’s his name ) The...More

This is a really fun and meaningful tour. I was able to see many famous buildings in 75 minutes. Glad that I took this tour around sunset. The view was incredible.

A well done 75 minute tour of interesting buildings. Guide was funny and knowledgeable. It was very cold and to see well you must be outside, but the lower level was heated so I kept taking breaks there to get warm before going outside to...More

What a great way to see a unique part of Chicago. We took the longer cruise that took us out in Lake Michigan and the only part I didn't like was waiting for the locks to open (it took too long ).

We visited Chicago over Thanksgiving and were so happy that Wendella was running their River Architecture Tour. It was a chilly day but we dressed for the weather and sat up top which I would highly recommend doing for the best viewing. The views of...More

This is one of the great attraction and thing to do in Chicago. Despite very cold wind, the tour was great, we enjoyed beautiful views from river and navy pier. Tour guide was very fun, and he explained everything us in an easy way

My wife and I really enjoyed this trip although freezing cold on a November day. The Trip is a little expensive but catching the buildings reflecting on each other and in the river is quite spectacular. The commentary was extremely informative so I would recommend...More

I found this river cruise the best way to see Chicago. They take you out on Lake Michigan so you can see the city from the lake very impressive. The river cruise itself is spectacular and with the guide commenting on all the buildings and...More

No, the Water Taxi fireworks tour does not. Wendella's Fireworks tours included an abbreviated narration.

Yes we do, however the cruises are sold out. Our Chicago Water Taxi will do a river fireworks cruise if interested.

Thanks for the tip! I know this book was mentioned a while ago, but has anyone discovered a way to get this book sent to them?? The reason why I ask is because I would like to book an architectural boat tour before I go (originally I was planning on doing the boat tour on a Friday, but I can change it to a Monday if it means I can save some money!)

Has anyone actually done the canine cruise? I am considering it this year, but I was wondering about things like how crowded it gets, how the dogs behave, comfort of the boat, etc. I have this fear of being going out on the boat only to have it packed with a bunch of yappy or sea-sick dogs.
