With just a weekend free in Chicago, we decided to do the architecture river cruise. We got lucky as it was a great day weather wise when we did it.
The tour was informative and fun. I got to really appreciate the architecture and the...More
My daughter has lived in Chicago since 2010. I go several times every year. Each time I bring a friend, we ALWAYS go to the SHORELINE Sightseeing cruise. It's a great history lesson of the city and I learn something new each and every time!
Who would think we’d be doing an archictectual river tour in Chicago on January 5th? We did! It was a beautiful sunny day with temps in the high 40’s, so why not? It was perfect. Our guides were interesting and knowledgeable. The buildings sparkled in...More
The tour itself was great, the tour guide was funny and nice and I learned more than I expected to from the tour. I went in November so it was very cold, but I expected that so it was ok. The staff was also very...More
I would totally agree with many other reviews as the Architecture Tour on the river was OUTSTANDING. Captain Kenya expertly piloted us and Jim (our guide) was incredibly knowledgable about all of the different eras of architecture we saw throughout the tour. Jim also gave...More

Very interesting to find out a little bit about the buildings in the city and their architecture and to view them from a completely different perspective. Did this on a freezing cold day - make sure you wrap up warm!

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

Very easy access at Navy Pier. A gentle ramp rather than stairs. Large flat deck so again no need to go up or down stairs. Definitely have stairs if you choose to board a tour that start on the river rather than Navy Pier.
