A nice setting a beautiful fountain built in honor of the reversal flow of the Chicago river. Make sure you walk behind the waterfall a tad wet but pretty cool. A nice area nice views of skyscrapers, and flowers.

Spotted this from the architectural river tour that we were on - it's an impressive structure and design - liked it.

The fountain is made of granite and it's more beautiful when you watch it at a closer distance. Every hour the fountain turns on and sends a splash of water to the river. A beautiful show to watch.

I wasn't looking for this attraction and in fact we were on our way looking for another attraction and then bang! It's great and caught us off guard. I wouldn't venture out for it but if you are in the area, get ready.

I hope the fountain is using river water and not public water processed at the taxpayers expense. My only question is when is the winter shut-down?

The unexpected beauty of the winding Chicago river is magnified by the Centennial Fountain. Every hour the fountain shoots a "cannon" of water across to the other side of the river. It's a great sight to see. You can walk under part of the fountain...More

You have to come see the "al bundy" fountain when in Chicago. It really is impressive and beautiful. It must look really great at night lit up. It was a very relaxing stroll around the fountain, great for picture taking. There are restrooms close by...More

Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy
Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of
restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities.
You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the
docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the
captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you
enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you
can also visit other popular attractions there such as
