This started out as a theatre-in-the-round in the 1970s, went to a movie multiplex (really bad) and back to a proscenium theatre about 10 years ago. it is an intimate, "Black Box" auditorium; good seating (as close to continental seating as Chicago Fire Laws allow)...More

Went online to the Broadway Playhouse's website to purchase tickets. They use Ticketmaster which in my opinion is an incredible rip-off I rarely purchase tickets via Ticketmaster because there fees are outrageous but there isn't any other way to buy advance tickets other than using...More

Took my mom to see Heartbreak Hotel here. The venue is very nice. Not too big, not too small. Intimate venue. The seating and proximity to the stage were awesome. Great location, and very well kept.

I would recommend this venue above most because of the comfortable seating, the excellent layout of the seats and the proximity of any seat to the stage. Sound quality was also very good.

This theater is intimate enough that every seat has a great view. There was a concession area and the staff was helpful.

Recommend the Broadway Playhouse. Every seat was good in this intimate setting. Good location and a talented cast.

We went to see "Heartbreak Hotel" (an Elvis retrospective) here. The center seats afforded a great view and sound experience, but the entrances and exits to the auditorium were awkward for exiting (crowded). The actual show we saw was sub-par. The Elvis actor was marginal,...More

Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
