Great beach with all the facilities ie change rooms, rest rooms, bar, cheap eats, foot shower. Sand is lovely and clean but hot. Water chilly but enervating. Surrounded by walking, jogging and bike trail. Lifeguard also present.

Fabulous place to be if you want to get out of the skyskrapers and enjoy some nice, white beach and surprisingly clean water. I came in May and the weather was amazing, water was warm (enough). Unique space.

Parked half a mile away and walked over the bridge. Sand was nice. Water was very cold. Had a great time.

We went to this beach after walking around Lincoln Park Zoo. It gets pretty busy on a sunny day but we managed to find some open spots to lay out by walking further down the beach. There’s restaurants and bars but no alcohol on the...More

This is a well-situated beach with amazing city views. I'm not much of beach-goer, more of a walk across the beach type. This is a relaxing place.

This is a nice beach with a bar/restaurant. On nice days it can get pretty crowded(air and water show).

Use to take the bus back in the 70's to this beach and it was terrible back then but now it is a very good beach that is clean with plenty to do nearby.

This is a beach with all kinds of activities. You can rent a bicycle and ride along the lakefront or you can go swimming while lounging on the sandy beach. The Castaways provides food and drinks with a great view of lake, beach and buildings

I'd go with Oak Street beach! It's more of a mature crowd there vs North Ave having a younger crowd. If you want to have fun, and do things like volleyball, bike tour, jet ski, etc. Then North Ave is it, but Oak Street is... More
