Back when I lived in the neighborhood (80s) this was a real, throwback 1940s piano bar, with a real piano and an alternately rueful/cheerful songmeister. A place for a stiff bourbon and a song. Now it's a synth driven yell along akin to a Cubs...More

Went with a couple of friends. Enjoyed some cocktails and whiskey. The waitress was really nice and there was live music after 9pm. We decided to give it go since it's one of the "still standing" speakyeasy bars since the prohibition. It's a must see.

Went on a Friday night with friends to check it out. Got there really early and was able to get one of the few booths. This place is pretty small, so get there early if you want any seating. Loved listening to the music, but...More

Not your typical Chicago bar. I went here with friends while celebrating my birthday and had a blast. It was crowded, but the piano player and the rest of the bar made me feel special as they sang Happy Birthday.
