I know the American Girls are very popular currently. Heck, I had to beg one out of my parents when I was a kid. But all the same, this craze is getting out of hand. The shop is huge and had whatever you want to get but still it is just a doll shop and very expensive at that.

Had a magical outing with my daughter around the Holidays. She got to customize an outfit for one of her American Girl dolls, had her doll's hair styled, and also went to brunch with her doll as well. Was a very memorable way to spend a special day together :)

My 13yo American Girl Doll collector loved this place. She loved that there was so much space and so many options. On the other hand, she likes our local store because there are more employees available and they know about everything in the store. She felt that the Signature Studio did not have enough options, but then she is on... More

If you were a little girl loves American dolls this is the place for her. My two girls spent an hour just looking. Please note that the dolls can be pricey but an outfit or two for your doll could be a nice experience.

This store is a little girls fantasy come true. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. The experience is magical for little girls. Come prepared to shell out some coin but it is worth it to see their little faces. Great experience for parents and kids (not good for most big brothers).

My husband and I just took our Granddaughter there to have lunch with her doll Kit. What an absolutely fantastic experience she had. They make every girl feel like she's the most important person there. The Restaurant is first class and the food was very good. The Store is so beautiful and our Granddaughter loved how they had everything laid... More

A nice shop to visit if you have children who likes dolls. The prices are quite steep but well worth the experience. Me and the joys just went to the sports shop on the higher levels in the same building.

Promised our girls (5 and 8) a trip to the AG store and café after a long car trip from the east coast. The staff here was wonderful without exception. We've been enough so that we know the deal, ie. hair appointments for the dolls need to be scheduled an hour or two in advance, café reservations need to be... More

This was our second birthday trip to America Girl Store. We started by picking out her doll and an extra outfit. Next we went to the cafe to have lunch with our new doll. The menu is good .. We got sticky buns to begin, appetizers , then our meal and lastly dessert of chocolate moose and cupcake.. The price... More

Always enjoy our trip to American Girl. Be prepared with a list of things you need to add to your collection or you could go home with too much.... But as a grandma.... That's ok.😊. We had a great dinner. There is beer and wine for the adults in the group. If you happen to stop in and don't have... More

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
