Rebecca was generous, personable and knowledgeable. The Devon Indian Food Tour we went on today is still buzzing around my brain and my stomach. For 3+ hours she walked us, tutored us, led us up and down Devon. She clearly knows and respects this neighborhood, and I would follow her into any other neighborhood. Clearly, she has found a winning combination; food, culture, and a little exercise. Rebecca is a natural teacher.
I can't wait to try her other tours.

My husband and I had a lovely afternoon with Rebecca exploring the sites and tastes of the Argyle neighborhood. We sampled all sorts of delicious foods, shopped at the local market and learned more about this area of Chicago. As life-long Chicagoans, it was great to visit an area of the city we haven't explored before. Rebecca is very knowledgeable about the food and culture and we had a great afternoon with her! Highly recommend!

Come hungry! Chicago Food Walks was a wonderful walking tour around the vibrant ethnic neighborhood near Argyle Street. Our tour guide, Becca, was very knowledgeable and gave a great overview of the history and cultural significance of this area. We visited restaurants, bakeries, and speciality grocery stores on our walk. We look forward to trying out new recipes at home and can’t wait to plan another tour in a different neighborhood soon!

Rebecca is knowledgeable about Chinese and other Asian food and shared her knowledge gladly! She’s cue sensitive and patient with questions. Rebecca tailored our tour to individual requests and took us to a super market, where she showed us sauces, ingredients and condiments for various dishes. She even sent us recipes in her follow up email! Totally amazing. A lovely experience- Chinatown is so interesting- and incredibly tasty food. Highly recommend.

A great gift for a recent transplant! We did Rebecca's China Town trip and loved it! She not just a culinary expert, but clearly has long time relationships in the community. She knows Chicago history and architecture history. This tour is a great way to get to know one of Chicago's culinary and community gems. Go! You will love it!

We took the Devon tour with Rebecca and had a fabulous time! We left the tour with a deeper knowledge of and appreciation for Indian and Pakistani cuisine, as well as an understanding of how the Devon neighborhood has evolved in Chicago. Rebecca was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting Chicago. We hope to do another tour when we are in Chicago next!

I highly recommend Rebecca Wheeler's culinary tours-what a fun way to discover and explore a Chicago neighborhood with friends or family. I learned a lot about new-to-me foods, ingredients and restaurants. Come with an appetite-there is a lot of tasty sampling. Rebecca is knowledgeable and passionate about foods and relates interesting stories about the neighborhood's history, stores and residents. After the tour, I shopped at an Asian grocery store to stock up for home cooking and now I know about great neighborhood places to eat.

Our highlight of our Chicago trip was our Saturday morning/early afternoon touring Chicago's Chinatown with Rebecca. During our three hours, we enjoyed various delicious Chinese cuisines, we visited a Chinese market, and Rebecca provided us with insight into the cultural history of Chinatown in Chicago. Our tour with Rebecca was perfect not just because of the delicious food and new experiences, but because it was intimate (it was just two of us with her), Rebecca is lovely, and its evident that she is passionate about food and other cultures. Skip the other touristy food tours...choose Chicago Food Walks with Rebecca Wheeler.

My family & I loved our Chinatown tour w/ Chi Food Walks host Rebecca Wheeler! Starting with an email to customize our experience, she shows you off the bat that she cares about you getting the most out of your tour. During our three-hour stroll, she provided us with ample history of the area and how it's developed, regaled us with tales of her trip to China and kept us extremely well-fed throughout! She has an infectious enthusiasm for Asian culture that makes you want to gain a deeper understanding of the rich influences from throughout Asia at our fingertips here in Chicago (which also means we'll likely sign up for another one of her tours)! Thanks again for a wonderful day, Rebecca!

We recently enjoyed a most delightful afternoon touring the Argyle/Broadway Southeast Asian neighborhood. Rebecca made us feel welcome right away, and gave us so much interesting information presented in a very friendly way. The especially nice thing was that we didn't have to take notes because she sent all the information by email later! We enjoyed three restaurants, two markets, a bakery, and a beautiful mural. She is extremely knowledgeable about the cuisine, the culture, and the preparation of this type of delicious international food. It was eye-opening, and just plain so much fun. Very highly recommended!
