We planned a trip to Chicago for our Anniversary and a freind suggested that we should go to Narcisse for Champagne and desserts. We called to make reservations. The host taking our reservation told us about the cuisine and the new chef at Narcisse, so we decided to have dinner there also. We made a 9pm reservation. We got to Narcisse at around 8:45 and we were advised to wait at the bar while they prepared our table. Just like clockwork, at 9pm we were led to our table. So far the staff and the service was perfect. Our meal was ablsolutely amazing!
Each and every course had so much flavor and the presentation of everything was great. Our server also suggested a great bottle of Champagne to accompany our meal. By the time we were done with our dinner, the place was buzzing with a very "in" crowd. We decided to stay and have another bottle of Champagne and enjoy the great music and late night scene also. Overall, we could not have picked a better place to celebrate our anniversary. I have been to a lot of great restaurants, but most of them are boring. Narcisse had great service, great food, in an atmosphere that I like to be in.

My husband & I heard about Narcisse through metro-mix. We highly recommend this website if looking for anything to see, eat, drink or do in Chicago. Narcisse was a wonderful dining experience. We paid the $100.00 bottle service fee to have one of the private booths downstairs on a Friday night @ 9:00. We were the only people there besides a very loud group of middle aged folk having a great time together. The noise aside & if you can look over the fact that you are indeed in a very old (slightly mildewy) basement the place is very elegant. The service was impeccable. The food was overpriced & we have had better at less expensive places, but you are paying for the atmosphere at Narcisse. By the time we hit our $100.00 alcohol quota the happy 40 somethings were gone and were replaced by a cool crowd of 30 somethings w/ money. We felt right at home in the dimly lit cave with low house music being piped in. We were there for 3 hours, dropped $250.00 and would do it all over again.

Narcisse is a fantastic place to hold an event. We hosted a medical CE dinner there last week and it was an absolute hit. All of the doctors were very excited to be in such a hip place that they had never been to. Only a couple of the residents had already been there. The service, food and especially the atmosphere is really first class. They have a pretty deep offering of scotches which was much appreciated by the doctor crowd. I plan on doing more dinners here for sure.
