I had a blast on this tour! We hit four pizzerias, each serving a completely different style. I know a lot of people think Chicago is all deep dish but that's not at all the case. It was very cool to meet the owners and hear their stories. I'm super particular about pizza and tours because I run pizza tours in NYC so I can safely say that this experience was a great one and a great value. I'll definitely take another tour next time I'm in Chicago!

I hadn't thought about doing a Chicago Pizza Tour, but my friend who lives there suggested doing one with me when I was visiting from CA! What a treat - eat pizza, see the city, and meet fun new people in one day? Done!

We met downtown Chicago, where we sampled our first pizza at Lou Malnati's (I believe). From there we visited unique, off the record pizza joints and a few mainstream ones. Each pizza was very different from the next, which gave the tour a unique spin. Our tour guide and drivers were super friendly and funny. I would highly recommend this tour!

Awesome food as always! We have done the tour 5-6 times with family, friends, and for business. We have visited different restaurants each time, although we have been to a few of our favorites more than once. Jon is so knowledgeable about everything and truly makes the experience exceptional. I would highly recommend for everyone!

One of the best tours I have ever taken. Exceeded all of my expectations. A complete education on pizza in under 4 hours. Jonathan, our tour guide, did a fantastic job on explaining the different pizzas that each restaurant was known for. Highly recommended tour!

This tour was so much fun. Elizabeth was an excellent tour guide and gave us lots of information and history in a fun relaxed atmosphere. She was very helpful and friendly, told us what to try at each stop. The drinks were strong and delicious, and I felt like I got a peak into the everyday Chicago life at these locations. Really learned the real background of prohibition, and had fun doing it. Book this tour...you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I traveled to Chicago to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary and I surprised my husband with a series of planned actitivies. We checked into our hotel at 6 pm, freshened up and headed over to go on our pizza tour adventure. This tour was everything we hoped it would be and more. Kevin our guide was so much fun. We loved all of the different pizzas and drinks we had. We lucked out and got paired with a really fun group of 20 and 30 something's. I was concerned whether or not it would be worth the $160 for two tickets as I can not eat that much at one time but I had no problem eating all the pizza and along with the cocktails and fun guide I felt it was worth every penny!!!!! If you are on the fence just do it! We are wrapping up our trip and my husband says the pizza tour was the best part of our trip.

A really excellent tour with a great guide who was extremely friendly and highly organised. She had an amazing and detailed knowledge of the history of Chicago and especially of the prohibition era. We visited 5 prohibition era sites and enjoyed our time at each...especially the Green Door Tavern which was the most authentic with a wonderful old time atmosphere. We had time at all locations to enjoy some snacks and try some interesting drinks....especially the Jameisons with Pickle Juice!!! We would highly recommend this tour especially if one is interested into gaining an insight into Chicagos history and it's somewhat shady and often violent past.

I took this pizza tour w/ my husband (self-described pizza-AHOLIC), who requested this ONE thing for our long-planned Chicago trip. We SO looked forward to it, and we DID enjoy the tour! Pizza was great, guide informative, fun, & entertaining. We went N, S, E, & W in the coach: a real overall tour. I would recommend to all who want to try different pizzas & learn about Chicago at the same time.
HOWEVER ---- according to Chicago Pizza Tours own promotional material - "... you’ll also get a behind-the-scenes look at the kitchens where all the magic happens! Listen to the chefs as they describe the passion and craftsmanship that goes into every pizza." I am very sad & disheartened to say there was NONE of this. We did not go "behind-the-scenes" at ANY of the restaurants. There was no "touring-the-kitchens", no listening to the chefs "describe their passion & craftsmanship", etc. Not having much $$ to spend, we really debated over a pizza tour (yes/no? which one?) - finally choosing THIS ONE b/c of this highlighted "BEHIND-THE-SCENES" aspect.
It is a delicious, fun, & entertaining day, but if you really want "behind-the-scenes", you better ask/confirm with company ahead-of-time, &/or at point of departure if they are going to do this: otherwise, it will be a let-down. I have read other reviews of this tour, & - while all attendees do seem to enjoy the tour - we are not the only ones to experience this lack of "behind-the-scenes": an obvious, WELL-ADVERTISED, yet absent aspect of this food tour.
C.P.T -- please include this in your tour - or REMOVE ALL REFERENCE TO IT from your advertising! It is unfair, misleading, and simply untrue.

This was an amazingly informative tour. Hubby likes history and Sydney did a great job at explaining the period and how all the characters fit together. Lots of history but explained in a fun way that makes you feel like you are living it. The bus used for transportation was really nice too. But one of the things that impressed me the most was their customer service. The tour is supposed to be 3 hours. We caught really bad traffic between the first and second bar. Other tours would have tried to make up time by shortening the amount of time spent at each of the locales - they did not do that! They asked if anybody needed to rush and since we were all ok, they just went at the same, regula pace. We finished almost 1 1/2 hours later than it should have been but both Jonathan (driver) and Sydney just hang around and continued as if nothing had happened and they were just hanging around with friends. If you are on the fence between this and another prohibition or gangster tour, definitely take this and enjoy the tour!

Ok we had no idea what to expect, but we had a blast. It was so interesting and our guide and bus driver kept us so entertained!!!! Alcohol and food is NOT provided, but they give you plenty of time at each stop. You know it was so nice to have a brutally honest adult conversation. I have NO idea how in the world they have the knowledge that they do, but they are amazing!! Easily would recommend or take their pizza tour!

Take the time and go!!!
