Neighborhood: West Loop
Fulton Market, Randolph Market, Jackson Boulevard and Greek Town make up the West Loop. The neighborhood is best known as the location of Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios, but this downtown neighborhood is also an up-and-coming spot for Chicago’s trendsetters. Several sub-neighborhoods within West Loop make this a unique neighborhood to visit. Dotted with factories and warehouses, West Loop is packed with various types of dining and nightlife options. If your timing is right, you can take part in neighborhood events like the West Loop Farmers Market, Craft Beer Fest, or the Randolph Street Market Festival.

We recently moved into the area, and this was one of the locations we were excited that was part of the neighborhood. It is a huge space that expanded with even more outdoor space for entertaining. It is real casual environment both inside/outside - they used to even have board games available for the guest to play. They allow children and animals; it makes it a great place to invite all you friends. The outdoor space makes it great in the summer for folks to hang out. I really wish Chicago had more options similar to this. Additionally, the food is served by Lillie q's which is delicious BBQ and they have a great spicy, fried chicken sandwich.

We stopped in last week just to try a few beers in the afternoon and really enjoyed ourselves. They have three breweries (and space for a fourth) and a restaurant all under one roof. You get a debit card when you walk in and you use that to pour your own beers. You just swipe the card at the tap you want to try. You get charged for the amount of beer that you pour so you can just have a few ounce taste or a full glass.
The three breweries (Burnt City, Around the Bend, Bold Dog) had a variety of beers and were all good. There is a style of beer for every beer drinker.
They also have many of the beers canned and for sale as you are leaving. We didn't try the food but it smelled and looked good.
This is a big place so good for a small or large group.

This place has three separate breweries and a restaurant all in one spot. You are given a debit card, you then use that card to pour yourself your own beers and/or buy your food. There are around 30 different beers you can try. You can pour just a few ounces or a whole glass if you want. You are charged by the ounce. It's a great idea if you want to get a couple glasses or try a bunch of samples.
Between the three breweries, there was a big variety of beers so everyone could find something they liked.
