What a great way to experience a city, through food! Johnson did a great job of touring us through the city while giving us some history, as well as exposing us to the wonderful foods native to Chicago. He made the tour fun and informative while he stuffed our bellies! He gave us great local info about what to do... More

Brilliant intigration of flavorful gastronomic and rich historic traditional Chicago delicacies. Delivered enthusiastically by our engaging and entertaining guide with a deep knowledge of both. An absolute pleasure to be a part of. Our taste buds and curiosity were not disappointed by Taste Bud Tours. Thank you Johnson!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our 1893 food tour with Bertha and Lynn. We inadvertently held up the tour by 45 minutes but the other 3 ladies were very kind about it. Bertha's knowledge of the Columbian Exposition and Chicago was very impressive. She made the day the most interesting we had in the city. Loved the popcorn and... More

My friend and I took the Famous Taste Tour----it was fantastic! Our guide, Annalyn (I think?, I lost her card and trying from memory), was terrific! She was so personable, knowledgeable and made the whole tour interesting! The food was great at each place. This is a great way to taste different foods that you may not get to while... More

A friend picked the tour and at first I was disappointed about food from the 1893 Chicago World's Fair but Mrs. Palmer brought history alive for us and she was the best part of the tour, even better than the view from our lunch table at the Cliff Dwellers. We had assigned ourselves to read Devil in the White City... More

We have done multiple food tours around the country. First time in Chicago and glad we had Annalynn as our guide. Great to start with pizza, but Chicago and its history is so much more. Good amount of walking, culture, architecture and good variety of foods. Great to introduce yourself to downtown Chicago..big fun!

We took the Old Town tour on Labor Day Weekend. We looked forward to this since we had done one in New Orleans in 2015. The first stop was Pizza. After that we had cupcakes, doughnuts, stopped in a chocolate store and ended on Sedgewick St. We were rushed through all of the places. We stopped and went in a... More

Although an opinion of what is “rushed” is highly subjective, we firmly disagree with the reviewer’s comments that the tour group was rushed. According to our tour guide who has many years experience, the reviewer’s comments are inconsistent with the facts. For example, the “Spice Store” stop is designed for our guests to browse and enjoy a delightful shop featuring... More
