Not everything open in November!

Windy here, but great view of the lake and downtown Chicago. Not a lot open in November but you can catch the Architectural River Cruise here, which is convenient.

The Ferris wheel is worth it to go on and is both air conditioned and heated. Other than that, the pier is pretty much just a nice walk and view of the water. The shops are touristy. Food choices are average.

Lots of fun shopping inside, restaurant and beautiful city scenery! We didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked but definitely a must visit!

I visited at night with a group of friends and loved the views of the city from the pier. It was so beautiful and since the weather was nice we were able to be outside a while. There are also a lot of great food options here.

Winter wonderland has opened and if you have children it's worth a visit just for the wonderland. Without kids you have a large number of restaurants. This I would say mainly for kids if you are coming in December for the wonderland. The Ferris wheel outside was expensive so we left it, it was $15 per adult and $12 for... More

The navy pier in our opinion requires substantial investment and refurbishment and we did not enjoy our visit to it.

We visited on a Wednesday night. The stores and restaurants were open but there were hardly any people! It was a great walk and dinner. This is a far different cry than middle of summer.

Well the Pier wasent as amazing as I remember. The restaurants inside are ok. Overpriced for sure. The Cenntenial Wheel was ok. $15 usd per person if I remember correctly. Great place to take pictures when at the very top. I wouldnt go there again unless i had a first time traveler in Chicago and they really wanted to visit... More

That place in Chicago you will visit for sure if you're in town. Nice to go for a drink or only to have a nice view of the lake. It's the place were you can go on a ride in a power boat. There's some children attraction there too, so it's appropriated to take kids.

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
