Stage 773 is a vibrant anchor of the Belmont Theatre District and home to Chicago’s finest off-Loop talent. Our four stages provide entertainment for everyone: comedy, theatre, dance, musicals and more. We are a not-for-profit, connecting and...more
This is a great place to go to see theater. Lobby is decorated very uniquely, restrooms are fairly plentiful. Seating has good sightlines. Performers come to lobby, after show, for photos, autographs, conversation. The entire Belmont area, from Clark, to this theater, is really neat,...More
The Buddy Holly Story was the best play we have seen in a long time! The multi-talented performers were amazing! Whether you are of the age where you grew up with this music or not, this fast paced production will keep you entertained from start...More
High energy, feel good play. I saw it twice and enjoyed it the second time even more. Well casted, not to be missed. Good for all folks old and young. Theatre is pleasant but sometimes the waiting area is congested. Good seats in the show...More
Don't hesitate. Buddy Holly show filled on a Thursday night with a mix of young people, teens and aging baby boomers. All rose in unison at the end to applaud Zach Stevenson's rendition of Buddy Holly - he absolutely kills it on stage. The play...More
The theatre is set so every seat is a good seat. We saw the Buddy Holly Story and I could hear every word and see every movement. We valet parked our car because the theatre is in a crowded section of Lakeview.
We saw It's a Wonderful Life Live Radio show and it was delightful. Watching this movie is an annual tradition for our family, so seeing it live was a special treat. Actors were great, fun interaction with audience. Very well done. Nice venue with full...More
About 4 blocks from the Belmost CTA stop, this theatre has several stages, and we saw 'The Civility of Albert Cashier'. The place has the feel of a real local community effort - friendly staff at the bar, plenty of comfortable seats in the auditorium...More
What a great surprise.....
What a cohesive crew. They complimented each other well. The skits/songs were unique and hilarious. You don't stop laughing the entire time!!!!
The venue is eclectic, clean and fun.
This is a must see.
Last weekend I saw a performance of "The CivilliTy of Albert Cashier," and it was fantastic. The acting was excellent, it was well-written (book and music) and it was entertaining and emotional. I traveled 3 hours to see it, and it was well worth it.
My husband and I attended Changes: A David Bowie SciFi Saga performed by Chicago Tap Theater (CTT). The show was delightfully weird--I felt it encapsulated Bowie's creative persona to a T and the performers --both the dancers and the musicians-- were top notch. The theater...More
