I could see the Wrigley Building from my hotel, so I made the short walk over this afternoon. Entrances to shops and offices for both sections are on the Michigan Avenue level, but the actual foundation goes all the way down to the river level. The click tower tells the correct time. They say that the terra cotta tiles are in six shades of white, and though I could not discern the subtle differences, I can agree that the design and facade are beautiful. Local wedding parties must agree because there were several different ones at different spots in front of and between the two buildings taking photos. It appears that the Wrigley Building is a real community spot appreciated by locals and visitors alike.

When you come to Chicago you come to see great buildings. One that is just turning 100 years old holds one of the best pieces for property within the city. Wrigley Building was built and completed in 1924 to house the Wrigley chewing gum company. It was the first skyscraper north of the river and it was build in an ornamental style bordering on neo gothic. It was modelled on the Giralda in Sevilla with its tower. The building is really 2 different buildings at different heights. Also it has a very unique angle that allows it to really be noticed on Michigan Avenue. The building with its location and architecture is made for pictures.

In a city famous for the impressive architecture of its skyscrapers, the Wrigley Building is one of the most impressive and beloved of all. The terra cotta white building with its famous clock tower is especially beautiful when illuminated at night. Completed in 1924 as the headquarters of the Wrigley Gum Company, it was the first building of importance in the city built north of the Chicago River. After crossing the Michigan Ave Bridge, the Wrigley Building and the Tribune Tower across the street now mark the start of Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Views near the bridge are spectacular and the whole area can also be enjoyed by walking along the Chicago Riverwalk.

The Wrigley is a historic skyscraper on N. Michigan Ave. just north of the Chicago River. Built between 1920-24, it is an elaborately designed building with two towers connected by full second floor and higher floor covered bridge. The towers are 21 stories and 30 stories in height. The south tower has an embedded clock face on each side and spire. It is an impressive skyscraper that fits nicely within the Chicago Skyline at the Magnificent Mile and Chicago River.

The Wrigley building is another Chicago iconic skyscraper, standing just across the street from Tribune tower. It's just aside the Dusable bridge, and Wendella boat tours depart beneath it. It belongs to the chewing gum magnate, built some 100 y ago.
Plaza of the Americas is between the two buildings.

Every day we passed this fascinating building. It shows the architectural history of Chicago until the 1920s. The three-part division of the building was already practiced in Europe at that time. Even in the dark, the building is very beautiful to look at.

One of the oldest skyscrapers in Chicago, Wrigley Building built in 1922 is also one of the most impressive. Its elegant white facade and a small tower on top catches your attention from the first glance. We even managed to take a quick look at its pale cream colored marble lobby adorned with guided doors. Absolutely gorgeous!

We stopped here in a recent visit to Chicago. The lady at the desk was kind and informative about the building and a little of its history. You can’t take any pictures inside though. The elevators were beautiful. And the outside is pretty nice too.

This interesting building represents a man who did much for the city of Chicago. The clock tower is clearly visible from many areas along the river and Magnificent Mile. The architecture is great for the time period.

This is a famous building in Chicago and was built back in the early 1920s as the corporate headquarters of the Wrigley Chewing Hum Company.

It is beautiful and unique! It was modeled after a Cathedral in Seville Spain and Is covered in glazed terra cotta which provides a beautiful white exterior. At night, the building is highlighted with amazing lighting and the combination of light and the white terra cotta finish makes it look simply amazing. The building also has two towers of different height that are connected by walkways on both lower and upper floors. And the building has a large clock ( on the south tower) with huge faces that point in all directions.

It also has a pedestrian walkway between the two towers leading to a small plaza area.

As you walk north on the Michigan Avenue Bridge you are virtually welcomed to the Magnificent Mile by this special building. Bring your camera and treat yourself to pictures of this beauty!
