I have seen Buddy Guy play several times always a great show. So the next thing was to visit his club Legends. We got there early and rhe artist that was playing, the food and drinks were excellent. A must go to when in Chicago. A truly amazing experience and I have the T shirt to prove it.

Met my brother for his 50th birthday celebration to enjoy some good jazz. Venue is pretty basic, but overall quite nice. Both acts were outstanding, and we got a little impromptu session from the Legend himself - very funny and engaging. I would definitely go back if I wanted good live music in a comfortable atmosphere.

Food is in keeping with the venue, good drinks selection, both bands Imsaw we real class. I had a good dance and met some strangers as it is based on shared tables. I visit every time I am in a Chicago.

We went to buddy guys to enjoy the music. The night started out with 7 people. As the night progressed there was only 3 of us left. We were enjoying the music. The wait staff was great. No issues. Only 10 or so people in the whole club. We we're minding our Own business. Out of nowhere a club representative very aggressively came at is telling us we were in the aisle blocking traffic. There was none around us. We quickly moved out of the way as we had no idea, but this guy was not having it. He got all in our face. We immediately saw other security guards coming by us, we said we'd like to cash out and leave right away. He was still jawing at us. We asked the waitress to cash us out as fast as we could. Our wait staff was kind of shocked at what happened as we were good customers all night and apologized. We are still dumbfounded as to what happened. Would never go back.

Disclaimer: I have been to this joint several times. We went to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary on Monday night because: a) it was our anniversary b) the Buddy Guy's Legends Monday night jam is the best music value I have seen anywhere in the US. $10 gets you in the door to see Brother John Kattke lead the Legends House Band for a 60+ minute set, followed by local musicians. This is a continuation of the Checker Board Lounge's Monday Blues Jam from back in the day. Last night was a Fat Tuesday New Orleans blues evening, but about 80 minus into it, the MC, Robert, introduces the owner of the establishment, Buddy Guy, who comes on and performs with Brother John for another 30 minutes!!! Pictures, social media posts, autographs, drinks for the house, you are damn right it was Buddy Guy! Half the audience was from South America.
