Rated 'Best Chicago Tour' by Lonely Planet and featured on The Today Show (NBC), USA Today and Bon Appetit, Chicago Food Planet Food Tours & Experiences offer delicious 2 & 3-hour neighborhood food experiences focused exclusively in Chicago's historic off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods near downtown including the Gold Coast, Chinatown, Bucktown, Old Town and Wicker Park.

These guided Food Tours & Experiences include mouth-watering food samples, enough for a large lunch or dinner, from unique specialty food stores, local restaurants and ethnic eateries while providing a detailed insiders view of Chicago's most famous communities- their rich histories, treasured architecture, dazzling entertainment offerings and restaurant recommendations.

Tours run 7 days a week between March and November and Thursday-Sunday during winter months (November to March). The earliest tour departure leaves at 11am and depending on the experience, will last between 2-3 hours. Tickets start at $35 adult for youth tickets and $42 for adult tickets. Please note, Chicago Food Planet can accommodate vegetarians and alcohol-free dietary restrictions if possible at tasting locations, but cannot accommodate other allergies or restrictions. The 3-1-Chew (Bucktown/Wicker Park) food experience is the only experience that can accommodate gluten-free.

My husband and I loved the Old Town Tour. It was the most fun we had in Chicago. Our guide, Heather, was amazing! We learned so much about the city, saw amazing landmarks and ate ridiculously good food! It was a blast! We will make food tours apart of every vacation from now on!

Been to Chicago several times and I wish I would have discovered the food tours sooner! My husband and I did the Gold Coast & Old Town tour and our tour guide Angie was just Awesome. On this tour you're exposed to neighborhoods and restaurants you wouldn't normally visit as a tourist. Would definitely recommend!

We joined the Wickerpark/Bucktown tour and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience, Kent (very charming) was our wonderful guide for the afternoon and he lead us from one wonderful tasting to another....needless to say, our bellies were full, and the food stops were great. Keep in mind that this just wasn’t about eating, it was peppered with... More

The food tour is such a nice experience! Especially if you are lucky to have a sunny day. Walking and eating are my favorite activity and it became nicer in the company and guidance of our lovely guide and the great group we had. The restaurant choices were amazing too.
