We had the most amazing tour with Amber! Request her if you're going, she's knowledgable, quirky and energetic. She share knowledge of the neighbourhood as well as the good stops for the Gold Cost and Old Town tour. Although you could stop at all these places by yourself it's way more interesting with tid-bits of knowledge about each place.

This was a fun way to spend a Sunday morning. I would recommend this food tour for pretty much anymore. You get a little taste of everything from iconic Chicago Pizza to French Macaroons. Nothing was too exotic, so I would even recommend for families that might have picky eaters. There was quite a bit of walking involved, so your experience... More

By HOT I mean some of the dishes as well as the weather. I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide Carlyn was outstanding! She explained the restaurants, food, history and landmarks in such an easy and pleasant manner. back in October of 2014 we attended the Gold Coast-Old town tour and had such a great time that we didn't... Thank you for all your help planning and executing a wonderful tour. Kent was a great guide. The group really enjoyed all the information he shared about the businesses we visited, the foods we tasted and the neighborhood. It was a very successful corporate event. You and your team made everything easy. I've already recommended you to colleagues.

Wow! I would highly recommend this tour! We LOVED our guide, Jade. She was so upbeat and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I knew we would be tasting great eats and the tour did not disappoint! (PS: My sister and I both have a gluten allergy which was accommodated!) However, the tour also included walking tours... More

Last year we enjoyed the Gold Coast/Old Town tour so much that we couldn't wait to come back and try another neighborhood. Food Planet did not disappoint. Our guide, Kent, was very knowledgeable about the history and architecture on our walk and did a fantastic job of making sure we were at each destination on time and that the food... More

Our tour guide seemed aloof and not engaged with the group. Our food samples were OK but not that special. At one stop we tasted a kale salad - really? We had to eat the kale salad standing right by the case full of delicious looking gelato. The beer sample at another stop was actually about the size of a... More

We took the Old Town/Gold Coast tour, and we loved every bit of it. It was great to meet people, our guide was fantastic. They have a very diverse and well-crafted itinerary where you try local pizza, spices, olive oil, chocolate, japanese food, Polish pastries, herbal tea... while walking through some of the most symbolic neighborhoods in Chicago and learning... My three friends and I loved our experience. Kent was a very knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic guide! The tour was included a full slice of pizza from Lou Malnati's, chocolate samples from Fudge Pot, sushi and saki, and !/2 of a Croque Monsieur sandwich, macaroons, and iced tea. We were also able to sample various oils and vinegars and learn... More
