Experiences must be booked ahead of time as the food is ordered prior to your arrival at the starting location. Due to this necessary step in the food ordering process, we do not accept walk up traffic.

Bucktown Food Tour - which day? (1 Replies)
Hello. I am planning to do the Bucktown/Wicker Food Tour offered by Chicago Food Planet. I want to take a look around the neighbourhood either before or after the tour. I can choose from either this Friday or Saturday. Is there more happening in this neighbourhood on a weekend or weekday? The weather forecast for both days is rain, so I can't even rely on the weather in making a decision. Thanks in advance!

IMO, Saturday would be the better choice. Weatherwise, Friday will be about 10 degrees warmer.

Anyone do the Food Planet Near North Food Tour? (0 Replies)
I live and work in Chicago but have never done this tour. We decided to book it for tomorrow and am interested in seeing what other people have done about parking since the start location (on Cedar St) is quite a distance from the end spot on Lincoln (2200). There is a parking lot right next door to the meetup spot (one where they do the parking) and think one solution might be to just cab it back there at the end of the tour. Anyone have more ideas? Thanks!

Best Food Tour (8 Replies)
My 11 yo son and I are heading to Chicago for 4 nights in July and want to do a food tour. My son is fairly food adventurous. We had a great time in Seattle on the Savor Seattle tour last summer and want to do something similar in Chicago. We are trying to decide between Food Planet and Taste Buds. Both tours have gotten decent reviews. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I actually took the Tastebud tour last year and thought that it was fun. As was pointed out during the tour, it is an eating tour rather than a tasting tour. At the end of the tour, I was stuffed.
